Eh, Amazon.com has World of Warcraft, and TBC both rated higher. ( In both ratings and sales)
So we play vanguard , i could give a s--- about WoW , without a doubt the worst game i ever played . All pay vanguard double what they ask before i play WOW for free
I mean VG can definitely improve in some ways, like adding chat windows, or at least making it an option,
You can have as many chat windows as you want. Click on the name tab and drag it wherever you want. Right click in a window to get to the options screen. You can add more tab/windows and configure each with channels, colors, etc...
I myself have the combat window above my main chat window, so you can actually follow the chat while you are fighting... Did you ever play SWG, or i think EQ/EQ2?, well if you have than I'm talking about the overhead chat windows for players. If you haven't than I'm referring to chat windows above players heads, showing who is specifically speaking, it's alot easier to communicate to people close to you.
Aha.... you are talking about chat bubbles not chat windows
Yes, sure, I agree with you; I am also missing the chat bubbles.
As I understand they did not implement them because of many RPers complaining on the beta forums that chat bubbles are breaking the immersion for them.... go figure. I guess it's difficult to make every one happy. It certainly would be much easier to see that someone is talking to you; it's so easy to miss if you are not constantly with your nose on the chat windows.
They could at least add it as an option in the settings. I have reported this as a bug report 1 or 2 weeks ago. Have you ? I hope they will add it if many of us ask for it .

when i first beta tested this game i was lagging so bad i couldnt play it so i stopped...but not that a bit has changed this game is becoming more and more fun...but just to let you guys know...although it is the highest rated game there are only a few hundred or so that rated this...and a few thousand rated the other games....BUT lets hope vanguard stays on top once it reaches its few thousand rating
Here's the numbers on the votes:
Vanguard
945
EVE
5615
Guild Wars
4611
EQ2
3902
DAOC
3050
Ryzom
1728
COH
3013
As you can see Vanguard is definitely behind the other games in total votes. But, it's also only been on the list for a little longer than a week now. It will continue to grow in votes, and that will start to be a little more telling of where it will end up. It's gotten over 500 votes in just the last few days alone.
Vanguard isn't perfect, and since it's brand new we shouldnt expect it to be! But it certainly on the righ track, and easily the coolest MMO to be released in awhile (even though Dark and Light wasn't a hard act to follow).
Alot of the people that are pissed off with the boring lackluster graphics of WoW would love this game! And not to mention FFA PvP!

Vanguard has dropped to number 2! See, that proves that all the haters and nay-sayers were correct. LOL! Here's the new numbers for today:
EVE
5620
Vanguard
987
Guild Wars
4617
EQ2
3903
DAOC
3052
Ryzom
1729
COH

Votes from 2-7-07
Increase in votes: Vanguard 42, Guild Wars 6, EVE 5
If I remember I'll try to update this thread from time to time. Might be interesting to see how the votes progress.
Keep in mind that initially VG even dropped off the top list. Overall it is near a high point in reviews. The ratings are deliriously close between the top 3 games, I check constantly (boredom) and they are leapfrogging each other on an almost minute to minute basis.
VG is a great game with the POTENTIAL to be #1. But honestly it isn't deserving until the bugs are addressed. I rated it well, but then again I would have probably given better ratings to WoW then the general population of this site.
