I waited for nearly an hour today and got no response at all. Is /Petition for ingame support or is it sort of like /bug for just different issues that are addressed offline? I've /petitioned a few times, but never had a real person respond.
I've petitioned like 3 or 4 times and one time it took like 25 minutes to get an answer while another time it took like 2 hours. so i guess it depends if their busy answering other petitions or not.

Ouch. Even the /petition system is hardcore. LoL. It would be nice if you could see where you were at in line while waiting.
They do respond to petitions, however they're working on a big issue right now so they're a little swamped. First week or so always has a few bumps in any mmo anyways.
Perhaps if you posted your issue on the boards or something, some of the other players could help you out with it, depending on the nature of the case.

When you /petition your issue, it goes into a Petition Queue.
The Crimson Fellowship (Guides) are strictly voluntary, so there may be a bunch on, or there could be none and only GMs handling petitions. So if there are no Fellowship on and only the staff GMs, there could be no GMs on your server handling petitions.
And there is alot the Fellowship can't do, but they will at least tell you that they got your petition.
Least, thats the way it worked in beta, before I retired from being a guide.
Its has clearly been stated people are using pettitions for everything from glitches in the screen to them not being able to mount there horse . They are there for this purpose use the /bug to report problems like this . If you get stuck or something to the nature of loosing your corpse then use petition request this will shorten the responce times. Its just like public services Police have to respond to every call if they are helping a couple settle an argument then there is someone that might be out there shooting people while you friendly cops are sitting in someones house discussing a thrown dohnut.
Sorry, getting stuck in limbo is something that GMs are there to resolve. If Sigil expects people to be willing to wait a couple weeks or months for a programmer to move a character to a safe login spot.. this game is screwed.
yes about 12 hours later I got a response, did they help no, it was like someone broke there kneck, gm arrives, I see you called me because you broke your kneck, you say yes my kneck is broken, he says well we can not help you with that, you say so I have to just lay here with my kneck broken? yes sorry, maybe it will straighten itself out. I literally had a GM Verdan I think was he's name tell me that the wasted time I had was perhaps for the best, you see I could not log on my main all day, so I petition, and bug from another character, they finally get ahold of me, and say we could not do anything about it, however it is perhaps for the best we see you did not loose any gear, some lost all there gear so perhaps it was for the best, so I wasted my time, I can not get it back, nothing, no sorry you lost your time, but for the best, atleast you did not loose a level or gear, like others, there words hahahaa gg gg gg!

I wonder what the GMs CAN do.

I've had a petition in for 3 days with no response.
Guildmates have toons locked out/bugged from the game and can't get a response for days.
