Is Vanguard compatible with Vista/Dx10?

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
I've been reading some posts saying that DirectX10 is not going to be backward compatible, which means all the previous DX9 and lower version of games are not going to be able to run on the new operating system. Any ideas?

    I am running vista ultimate.



    I was forced to install some directX 9 files, even though I have directX 10. V:SOH would not run without it.



    btw: does nayone know what performance index this title requires?
