trail download

in Planetside

i download about 3 weeks ago a trail version of planetside

now when im trying to install it says i need some key

what is that key? (some cdkey?)

    Most likely... or you need to make a trial account and get a trial cd key..

    Did you get from GameSpy? Cause if you did I think you should have gotten an email or something and had to use the password in it to get the keycode on their website. Or that was how it was when I tried a few months ago.

    Is there anyway I can play the free trial without downloading it from gamespy?  I don't have a gamespy account.

    You can keep making new trial accounts using the same planetside install. Just have to make a new gamespy(fileplanet) and email account. Since the gamespy will send you the same CD key for your account. Then you have to create another station.com account. Kinda not worth it really lol. I remember when they had the 30day free trial. That was fun. To bad it takes exactly 1 month for the game to lose all appeal. Then you come back 3-4 months later and play for another month.

    I downloaded the 30-day trial yesterday...  I can't remember where I found it, but when I downloaded it I wasn't sent a CD key.  Could I just go to a store and open a box and get the CD key?  I'm not trying to get something for free here, I just want to try this game to see if I like it.  I really don't want to start paying a subscription fee for gamespy.

    You just contradicted yourself. You ask if you can go to the store and STEAL a cd key, yet you say you dont want something for free... You made no sense whatsoever lol.

    And the 30day free trial thing is over. Has been for months. Now there is only a 7 day trial.

    Numatic, you said in another thread that you don't need to have a subscription to gamespy/fileplanet to download and play the 7-day free trial.  Could you explain to me how to do this?  When I click on the 7-day trial link on the planetside site, I get directed to fileplanet where I cannot download anything b/c I don't have a subscription.

    You dont need a subscription. Just a free gamespy account. I dont really feel like looking for the link. It's on the gamespy site somewhere. They make it kinda hard to find because they want you to actually buy a subscription, which is plastered all over the sign up page.

    Key means you have to buy the game.. every game comes with cd key... thats what it means... so it was not a real trial

    you can acually keep the game spy download, and remake a SOE account, then click on this link and click on the 7-day free trial link on the top left, and get another key, you can keep doing this for a while, because it seems gamespy and pretty much recycling their keys.

    Gyes dont waste you time downloading planetside trial beacuse you will not recive a trial key unfortunatly. sony have discontinued the trial facility in this game!

    Only way that u can play this game for free is to get some one in the planetside community to send u a buddy key which will entitle you to 10 days of free game time.

    yep tried to get a trail key and it didnt work, that sucks heh
