Flyff isn't that bad for a free mmo it helps ya pass the time without the need to pay monthly but I think the gameplay needs to change since it is basically a huge grind in every  aspect. Only redeeming aspect of this game is flight.

FlyFF is actually pretty decent. I play on Aibatt Server which to tell yout he truth, it really messed up as the economy is crazy. If you dont buy cash Items, You will never be able to afford rare items and when your a higher lvl, it makes it a hassle since everyone else will have better equips then you.  If you think the best thing about FlyFF is its flight system, thats your opinion but... even though it is very nice how the game is extreamily open as your limits are the skys, I personally like how everyone relys on eachother (Ex. The ClockWorks fights. You need a tanking Knight, at least 1 healing RingMaster, and at least 2 high damage dealers(Blade or Yoyo/Bow jester. if one of them dies, there will be a problem). I also enjoyed how when you partner people, you get a chance to talk to them and become friends.  The lack of EXP is designed for you to have fun.  When you level (partner with someone) at a high level (its much better due to the EXP bonus) you get only a little bit of EXP. But its a decent amount like .06%(out of 100) for me per kill.  I enjoy somewhat but it can get stressful if you really want to level up.  It gives me time to talk with my partners and become really good friends with them (I found out one of my partners goes on Gaia ^^).  And if you got fast exp like youd expect, youd max your level within a few months/weeks which then you would quit.  The GMs try to put new events on every few weeks and the new v7 has made leveling skills alot easier.  My opinion, FlyFF is a tryable game, if you want to reach a super high level and then quit within the first 1-2 months or so... then dont play. But for the more relaxed and those who enjoy their time playing something, give it a try.  As for the grinding... FlyFF isnt about the endless grind everyone keeps saying it is... I usually get 25% or something in a day while takes 2 hours? then I spend the rest of the time in the Duel Arena or exploreing or Giant Hunting with friends... Ive been playing FlyFF for a while now and I dont intend to quit yet.

i had a good start with flyff i was given a level 75 psy full stamina i could only get to level 87 before quiting that char so i started my own char a battle assist they level faster than any char in game untill level 60 then restat to full int ringmaster i bought a common bank scroll so i could get the mine card from the psys bank i started leveling faster because it was like being power leveled i had lot`s of aoe knights on my buddy list when i got bored of being a full time heal bitch i would pk with the psy for fun anyone from level 1 to 100 i would run around dressed  has a nub i had ppl logging off, running for there lives and jumping on there boards when they noticed i was kicking there butts if they where lucky, that was the most fun i got from flyff it`s a good game for free a bit to cute for me. i also gave my chars away to someone that was kind to me that gave me items when leveling with the ringmaster not junk to +7 int rings from the mines and i think level 75 set items that where useful for my chars i now play ryzom nothing like flyff it has a real good community maybe because it`s p2p and the gms are excellent and online 24/7

Flyff is awsome it is original with the whole flying thing and has pretty good graphics. I do not like the player combat thing because people can just rur up to you and kill you then you lose 30% of you Experience. I think a wide range of ages will enjoy this game but sometines when you first connect to the server it goes really slow I think one of the best part about it is that it is free and it is worth downloading i would give it an 8.7 out of 10

I think it was a good game until the 7th version came out. The new skill system is fair but very lame and destroys the economy in-game. I need to start looking for a new game.

how does one's skill destroy the economy?

it got rid of the skill spammers so it should be less laggy

On topic - the game is nice for all ages and even great for people starting their first F2P MMORPG. I don't have any shame in telling people that I play this, technically all MMORPG are cartoonish to a point, just some more than others.

If you look in the past, only children were considered to play video games, but now you got a wide age range that play video games.

These games are for entertainment not to represent your age level or even your gender. So play and have fun!

Sorry for going offtopic but, with this skill system there would be less assists since most of the assists don't have the paitience to sit in a part taking out aloy of people. Then when you look at mages and elementors, they have a bunch of skills and they'd all be very low level with this system so you'd also lose alot of them. knights and acrobats will be fine. That's how the economy will slow down, and a good number of people, I don't think it was alot, quit once the new version came out.

I liked Flyff when I tried it out, but I think Rappelz is way better, just a thought though.

still don't understand how it affects the economy...

you get skills as you lvl up not mastered them all at lvl 35... it just forces you to play(with or without a party).

even if you started over you actually get a reskill item (non-transferable or storageable) so even once you get your 3rd job change you can master the skills you want/need.

SXP is not all that bad, but alot of people just don't understand its function.

Oh wells take care in your other ventures in life.

I recently started playing Flyff, infact my first day was yesterday. Every1 says its a great game but i thought its free so it cant be. When i donwloaded the game i thought it was pretty kool. But then when i asked for help  the first reply i got was "fck off noob" . that put me off the game  but everntually i found a friendly person to help me out. i found that one of the most annoying thing about the game is music it makes runescape look good. Another thing is they make the characters look really childish which is pretty stupid. But one thing i really liked was there isnt the same amount of grinding to get to the next level, most mmos take life to get to the next lvl. i ound that leveling was actually quite fun. The monsters look pretty kool.  i rate this game around 7.3.  there are too many hackers around the game which makes it alot more annoying  but wat can u expect from a free game.

pros: very fun game, can get very addicting, for a free game it offers very good play and etc, decent graphics, etc, overall rating should be abt 7.8

cons: pointless playing this game unless ur thinking abt staying with it forever, online community sucks, the lag is really bad in some servers. and there is the occational roll back.  after level 30 players have to start spending big money meaning wasting like 15-20 mil on just one item, (i know a friend who wasted 85 mil just a ring) earning money on this game is pretty hard unless u kill and fight everyday just to get drops.  for newbs, should avoid this unless they are going to play everday
