LOL.. Perma death?...... no really

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

I know this game hasn't got perma death but it may aswell have. I was playing on my level 6 Warrior, just outside the walls of Kahl, killing some scorpions, as you do, me and my partner died. I said Damn, clicked on "Release" ..... Waited....

Eventually the music you get on loading the game kicked in, and it crashed on a loading bar, presumeably trying to load the character selection screen. So damn, I got disconnected. Lets log back in and kill some more scorps!

Only I cant, and havn't been able to for about 3 hours. I select the character, all is well, click on play, all is well. **Loading screen initiated**  Reaches 100%  **Loading screen ... "denitiated"?**   Whatever, it just wont load. Returns me to my character selection screen.

I am able to make new characters and play on them, just cant play the one I want to play on.

Dont get me wrong now, Vanguard is a gorgeous game, so far. But why oh why do you have to perma kill my character! Anyone come across this glitch before? And PLEASE do not just say "If your only level 6, just reroll" because that is not the point. Im glad this happened at level 6, and not level 7!

    They are having a lot of issues with the database, chuncks kicking people out, and people not able to log-in. It has not been fixed yet. I would point you over to the vanguardsoh site tech forums, but that seems down too 'under 'maintenance' So, um.. Try back in a few days and see if they fix it.

    Ok fair enough. My new PC wont arrive till Monday, so I guess this is a good enough excuse to stop watching the slideshow of my PC trying to play this game

    Select the character you cannot log in as.

    Click the customization button.

    Rearrange some things slightly with your looks.

    Log back in :)

    Take a chicken, rub it against the monitor and sprikle chicken soup on your mouse.

    Once again a bug that was reported by us WAY back in Alpha 2 and NEVER fixed.

    Uhm thanks for your suggestions. None of the above worked so I guess I will just reroll. I can't take anymore of CS:S, so boring it makes me wana shoot someone. And Yes i can see the irony in that.

    Wait you tried the chicken thing...  That disturbes me...

    It's a bug from the last patch. If you play another character, and keep relogging it should go away.

    I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

    In fact, forget the SWG!!!!

    Hey. No i didn't try the chicken thing. Your post was regarded as spam and blocked out by my spam filter.

    I did relog and stuff on a new character I made, never worked. Got fed up and deleted him. Nevermind, it has given me more time to think more about what class I want to be. Really is a hard decision

    Regarding classes - in case you haven't seen it, Tentonhammer has a great attribute guide which shows what race gets what bonuses. Nice thing to help you with race selection when you've picked your class. Kinda.
