Not much information is really out there about the details of the PvP system, since no one really knows All they say is that you have to agree, so there won't be people running around killing everyone without their consent

- There will be no collision for players. As a result, Im quite curious to see how they plan to let meat shields do their job, although the devs said they have some "good ideas" about this. - Siege gear will be in the game for PvP, although it will not be a trade skill. It was unclear to me how, exactly, siege gear will be implemented. - Blizzard is banking heavily on their RTS experience, and hoping to bring that experience to PvP (as well as every other aspect of this game). - Uberguild dominance of PvP is not likely. The devs have some ideas about this, too, including such things as limiting entry to PvP areas by level and skill (as determined by previous performance). Other ideas were not yet ready for discussion. - Nothing in-game prevents one faction from invading the cities of another faction; whether this would lead to any lasting benefit for the faction remains to be seen.

Oh come on guys. All you have to do is check the official site and it says it there about everything about WoW....even about PvP....well you know the site im sure, but here it is...www.worldofwarcraft.com
Here you go . . this is a hell of a lot better than just telling you to check the site . . i actually give you an answer . . . ok yes . . i know . .you all love me . .
There's hundreds of sites out there with their own version of the FAQ. Oddly enough the one at the official site is the least complete of all of them, because the ones with the most information were compiled by ppl who went to the gencon. Even then you have to be careful you're not getting a review from what was said a year ago, and rather something more recent, keep in mind the game's in beta.
All we can really do in the end is just sit and wait like we've been doin'f or a year. I won't beleave anything about the PvP until it's actualy set in stone on release date. Between now and then it's subject to change, and will no doubt change many times. So make what you will of the faqs, just don't beleave EVERYthing you read.

After reading that article I think PvP in WoW sounds alot like in AO and that's not a bad thing.
Mass PvP in AO is mostly fighting over land, the attackers trying to take down a base and defenders defend it, so fighting to archive something. Often with 50-100 players on each side.
If Blizzard either balance number of attackers/defenders or manage to have almost lag free mass PvP then it can be very fun.
With lvl limit on who you can attack and rules of where, it should suit both PvPers and those that want to stay away.
Will be interesting to see if Blizzard manage to do something so new players have any chance in PvP so low lvl PvP is possible and fun for something else than super twinks.
