After I hit play my screen goes black.

  What are your system specs?  First off I would guess memory, but that is purely a guess without knowing more about your system.

  I don't think it has to do with my specs, because I play the game just fine.  It did this to me in the beta, and it was usually corrected after a few days.

  If it was after patch i d suggest a full filescan.

  I don't know if it's related but I've had a similar problem.  My screen would go dark and I couldn't do anything.  Because I have an older (CRT) monitor I thought it had finally given out.  But after a minute the game came back.  This happened again the next time I started, and again, after a minute or two the game came back.  It happened on 3 times total, Monday - Wednesday this week.  Yestersday I had no trouble at all.  I have no idea why it happened.

  A lot of people seem to have this problem or whatever....go to My Computer. Program Files, Sony, Vanguard, Bin then if you see the caches folder delete it, that should work that was the exact problem I had and it worked. Please reply back if it worked
