Crafting Bliss, need some Enlightenment

Hello, I'm having a blast with Vanguard    (all sphere's), its the first mmorpg I've played where Im enjoying the crafting. I've worked my way up to a lvl 6 artificer.

I'm trying to figure out where I can get new recipies for crafting real stuff, Im currently based in Lomshir, anybody got any tips on this ?

I just want to add, work orders have been implemented superbly, there's a real meaning in working hard to try and craft grade A items to get uber loots as the rewards, even though it aint that easy.

I've ended up getting loads rewards like dice, feathers, copper rings, but am not sure what Im meant to do with these, I'm assuming I'll be able to use this brick-o-brak in later real stuff recipes, anyone able to enlighten me on this ?

You need to go to a new town after level 7 to get new recipes and work orders.

"Useless" items are meant to be sold to merchants, and in the description it will say "This would probably be valuable to a merchant".

Things like dice and copper rings are just meant to be vendored.  Look at the description of the item  - if it doesn't describe any particular function just sell it.  You will also get useful items for completing work orders, such as crafting tools, clothing, and crafting elements (usually in stacks of 25).  Early game, up to crafting lvl 11, you can get your new recipes only from your trainer.  At lvl 11 you will receive a quest to train to Amatuer Crafter which will lead to expansion of your recipe options.

Cheers guys, those items like dice have no description other than their name which is a bit odd, normally items like gems etc will say 'This item looks like is could be of value to a merchant' ... bit odd.

The items with no description seem to be vendor trash.

So far i can't tell if I like crafting or not.  it seems like a big time sink and i'm hopeing as i progress it takes less time to process all the items I need to make a useful item .  A LOT of clicking just to get 5 items. Granted ,I'm only level 4 in crafting so i might not be seeing the whole picture.

im a lvl 20 artificer and you do get some VERY powerful items once you hit the teens. just stick with it and youll be rolling in cash....so far my best item has been a bow that did 53-53 damage added +166 to archery and had a chance on hit of doing additional fire damage
