My 7900 GS works great with the game, and I paid around $150 in December for it FWIW.

Upgrade the Vid card. I picked up a 7600 with 512mb on it and the difference was amazing. Cost me 149 i think after a rebate that was being offered.

On the Power Supply, the best way to know is to check the specs on the graphics card to see if what it requires, then check your Dell Comp Manual to see for sure what you have in your current rig.  I've had to buy a new PSU due to a graphics card upgrade, but it just depends on what it needs and what you have.

My Athlon 64 (single core), 2 HDD, GForce 7900, two DVD players, all run fine on a 350w PS.

If image quality is important to you and you prefer Nvidia, don't take anything less than a 8800 series.

The Nvidias prior to the 8800 do not support enabling anti-aliasing together with HDR lightening (During the last week of the VG beta a dev said that it was a matter of a couple more hours to get anti-aliasing working, so we should see it very soon).

The NV 8800 is the best card on the market. For anything less take an ATI. I think the best bang for the bucks right now is the x1950pro-512. If you can shell out a little more an x1950xt-512 will be even better. And of course if you can put more than this take an NV 8800.

Take a 512Mb version, especially as you have only 1,5 Gb ram, it will complete it nicely.

PSU: I know the ati x1900xt works fine on a 450W PSU, these are very cheap these days.

Just make sure beforehand you know whether you have an AGP or PCIe system.

I would also advise if you are going for a newer PCIe card you upgrade that power supply.

Good luck finding one for $150 though.

Hahaha, LOL. Once you start upgrading you are never finished

If you decide to upgrade your MB change your CPU for a dual core. This game needs a dual core at higher settings. When I run the game (I'm at max settings with 16x anisotropic) on only 1 core I lose 5-10fps and I get the hitching problems many are frustrated about (this is a non issue when using both cores).

    My sepc FYI : core2duo, 2Gb ram, ati x1900xt-512

Sure, but you also need to decide if you want to enjoy the game or not. This game was not designed to look good on lower end hardware. I enjoy the game a lot at max settings, but I'm not sure if I would still be playing it on low settings (but this is me, I know some people don't care that much about gfx).

Edit: you can also look for a lower end ati. For example many people have reported on these forums that the game runs very nicely on an x1300.
