    Thats rather... vague

    Should be interesting though.

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

indeed.... so many people were/are wating for such a game to come out so we are all ravenous for details!!! It will be New World of Darkness almost for sure I bet even if the videogamers are more popular with the old one (as there are no games based on the new one yet)... but what will be there?

Mortals only? vampires? werewolves? mages? all three? others?? AAAARGH!!! :D

Thinking a bit about it, I would say an EVE-like structure would suit well a Vampire game, but merging vampires with basically anything else is a huge headache... mostly for the "only at night" problem

Im sure CCP will manage to include their much so popular "get everything this game has to offer without even being at the keyboard" features into this game.

After this cheating scandal recently with CCP, I won't be supporting any of their products.

And yet, you still have an EVE Online advertisement in your avatar

it reminds me of the movie Underworld, if they do it right. It can be an o.k. game.

If they do that to this game I will most definitely never play a MMO again.

    All I can say is.........

Its about time someone came out with a good vampire MMO. I have always felt that vampire the masquerade or underworld would be  great setting for one.

Well? What are you waiting for CCP? ................... Get to it.................. I want this on my desk by the time you go home.

Right because it's CCP company policy to do what he did? No he got fired and all other action taken to fix what he done.

No, he did not get fired.  He still works at CCP.

He would have been fired if it wasn't for the fact that 6 months ago when it was discovered by CCP,

"the majority of the senior staff was on vacation", as to quote Kieron.

From what I get, Hilmar was one of the people on vacation and those that was in charge at that point didn't want to do something too drastic.

" Those left at the helm chose to react cautiously, as sometimes is appropriate under

these circumstances, leading to more leniency and understanding than we are used to

in these matters. Upon review I personally would have chosen to act differently,

but what's done is done. "

So they don't follow their own policies and procedures because they were on vacation?

You're one to talk of business policies and procedures, just go back to your 15 hour MMORPG shift already :).

That's the best you can do?  I'm dissapointed.

yo guys! i know the cheating thing has been hot on these forums for a while now (and rightly so) But i believe this was about the world of darkness game they announced to make, not the cheating affair. there are countless other threads where you can go and talk about that a lot :D

About the advancement when you are not online thing, well... Vampires kinda fit in that for 1 thing. their Blood potency can be rised basically in 2 ways: 1) kill a older vampire and diablerize them (suck them dry) a higly illegal action or 2) live for 50 years :D

so... from that point of view.. vampires ALREADY progress no matter what you do ,in blood potency.

    But in nothing else eh.

Anyhow, EVE was a revolutionary game when it was released and here it is hoping CCP will do it again because that is what is needed for the WoD MMorpg: revolutionary. Really, If i will have to choose my vampire class and go around killing things like "undernourished Werewolf" that become "juvenile Werewolf" for becoming "Adult Werewolf" and finally "Elder Werewolf" I'm gonna cry like a baby.... :D

    cheating discussion aside

This reply here is the only one that matters and made me laugh.

Remember 6 months ago how all we ever got here was how Eve was breaking POP records for most people on a single server all the time. I swear we got by the hundreds updates till they hit 30K. Notice how they all stopped ? it hasent ever got any higher than that.. Game has stabilized and probably will experience no further growth as the trial bubble has popped.

    My point

most will not stomach that skill system again.

I hope CCP does something vastly different for this new MMO of theirs.

Only thing that's stopped is the new posting about it, the player increase continues. Current record stands as 34.420 on sunday 14/1. This sunday it topped of at 32.422.

You will probably not see another news post about it until they hit 35k which depending on the outcome of the current debacle could come very soon.

You can see the server stats here.
