I keep hearing about SWG getting a population rise and its going up quite a bit atm.
is this true cos i would come back if the population was going up on this game ! :D
Comments
well sorry to ruin the fun but the servers are almost all very light( every1 would be but everybody has an alt char) there is NO RISING in populaation. Im not trolling just trying to save you fifteen dollars. trust me there is NO rise
Plus gameplay still sucks
wow thats crazy.
This post is really funny. First off, some servers hit medium with everyone having an alt and some people with the chars. Not to mention people having more than one account. Population is the least of swg's problems. The gameplay is not good their is NO content at all pvp sucks, the restuss garbage isnt fun at all and this pretty much leads up to more awful updates .
BTW... No servers go above medium after the nge hit. Sorry to ruin your fun.
Look mate not you obraik ure cool, but the other guy, im not in the game for the combat on land im in the game for the combat in space and the community and to talk to my m8s who also play the game so stfu
and if you dont like this game then get off the forums cos in my eyes all ure trying to do is say stuff about the game that is bad when its not and thats the only thing you can think of doing, go play WoW BIATCH
Oy Vey...........
Dont lie to these people man. If you still like the game thats fine but dont blow sunshine up their bums trying to draw people in. That heavy server population is bogus and you know it. Anyone with a station pass can log in at "primetime" and see that even Bria is still a ghost town.
If you want to play it do the trial and see for yourself that Mos Eisley and the PVP battle areas are the only players you are going to see. The days o crowded cities like Theed and coronet or the Dant mining outpost are long gone. These guys will tell you anything so that they can get someone to play with.
Critical thinking is a desire to seek, patience to doubt, fondness to meditate, slowness to assert, readiness to consider, carefulness to dispose and set in order; and hatred for every kind of imposture.
lol, where'd that come from?
In your op you said nothing about your preference to space versus ground combat, all you asked was if SWG was getting a rise in population, as that would make you consider returning.
got2kill politely answered your question, stating that server pops were infact not rising, and that you should save your money (sounded like a logical suggestion to me, since you stated a rise in pop would make you consider a return, and he see's no rise in pop)
Then got2kill goes on to counter a well-known NGE-supporter, who had stated that server pops were indeed rising, not falling, which Im sure many current players would disagree with, including myself. He then adds that not only is the server pop falling, but that in his opinion the low pop is the least of SWG's problems atm, also a valid point imo, and worthy advice for anyone making posts questioning if they should return.
If all you cared about ingame was space, then why the hell did you make a post only asking about if the population was rising? You didnt say shit about space in the op, so what, was he just supposed to be psychic or something? The guy simply answered your question, and you flame him for it, nice job, im sure you'll fit in nicely with the NGE target audience.
Seems to me that your not really here to ask about any rise in pop after all, but rather your just here to troll and flame.
/grabs 50lb bag of troll chow
/tosses dogsdress some kibble
(no worries, I always keep some handy incase I come across any hungry trolls, so it's on the house, enjoy)
"Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now.
We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?"
Lol, get someone to play with? Funny stuff
I'm just going by what I see at the server select screen. I could be paranoid and be completely skeptical of that screen, but I don't play that role too well. Best to leave it for the experts
I'd like to see them do server merges to the point where the populations on each server were like they were pre-cu. That was fun, always people around, always busy, and very active.
That being said, I don't know most of the people posting in this thread, but Obraik is ... um biased a bit. I wouldn't take what anyone here is saying at face value unless they can post screens that are current showing it... to many people absolutely HATE the game and too many feel the need to defend it up to and including lying about things. Either do your own research or find someone you trust and ask them.

Since the NGE, I've been resubbing every 4 months or so just to see if things have improved. All I can say from my one month resub this February is that the population is dead. But that is only a symptom really. The expertise system was a good step in the right direction, but unfortunately there exists a Grand-canyon sized hurdle to cross yet.
Case in point: Went to Endor to check out some things I hadn't seen. Found a Maurader camp. Not only was all the loot crap, some of the loot was PRE-NGE loot. MOBs bunched up in tight little packs, having spawned without any apparent pathing assigned to them. MOBS not aggroing. Not only is it a game that players have forgotten, so much of it feels like the devs don't care either (no matter how much they try to say otherwise).
