Alrighty, I just installed Windows Vista. Everything was working fine but about an hour into use my monitor srambled and I had to shut it down. I turned it back on and my monitor is getting no output. I checked my specs and they are more than compatible with Windows Vista. Anyhow I have had these problems before but usually I would wait a minute or two and turn my computer back on and it would get output, but now it seems to reveive nothing. I turn on the comp and the monitor and all I get is "No Input Signal". Than it goes to powersave. It has been a full day with no progress so I come to you guys. Please help me out, I don't wannt buy computer parts that are unneeded if any.

Tin Foil hats dont work.. its all a conspiracy
I had the same exact problem and it turned out it was my monitors fault.
I have checked all the cables and connectors. I do not think it would be a compatable issue because I had Vista running for a good hour but now I can not even get the monitor receiving any output. Before I had this issue I would have the monitor scramble now and then when I played games, but I was able to turn the computer off and on in a few minutes and everything would be fine. Anyhow I am going to start switching parts with an older computer to see what is wrong.
1. check the pins/pin holes on the monitor and video card where the VGA cable goes
2. if you dont find any bent pins or jammed holes, get a new cable, these 2 steps are going to be the cheapest.
3. If the cable dosent help, then try putting in a spare video card if you have one, or just a cheapo one off newegg, you can get something like a Raedon 9200 if you have AGP , or a GeForce 6200 if you have PCI-i, they are both $35. make sure you keep all the packaging and everything that comes with it, so you can send it back for a refund if its not the problem.
4. If the first 3 steps fail, then youre going to have to find a new monitor. Once again, make sure you keep the origional packaging and everything so you can send it back for refund if it dosent fix the issue. Because if it dosent, youre gonna need the money you spend on the video card and the monitor to get a new motherboard.
