Now. Ive just reveiwed the last 15 posts about classes. Now the top two were always Paladin and Warlocks
Now Paladins sure have High hp, Healing caperbility and can where everything exept wands (with training)
And Warlocks have powerfull spells and buffs and can summon pets under there control (All cost shards exept imp)
Now i know that a Warlock is more fun........
But which is more powerfull??
Id also like to edit that the Rogue is suppost to be more deadlier on lvl 22+
Even thought all the Stealthing is fun is the lack of defence a problem?
Comments
actually paladins cannot train ANY ranged weapons. not wands, not guns, nor thrown, no bows and no crossbow either. they get all melee weapons, yes, but you will have problem pulling.
Beside that "who is the most powerful" is not a valid question, please re-formulate
Examples of valid question: "who deal the most damage?" "who can survive better in Pve/PvP?" "which one is more useful for groups/raiding"
"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime"
WHich deals the most damage, can raid better and is best in PVP??
You cant tell what class is more powerfull, since they are all balanced. It all depends on what you want to do with your character.
Paladins are holy warriors, protectors of holy light, that can tank, heal and buff. Playing him, you will be VERY durable and hard to kill, but won't deal much dmg.
Warlocks are mages, that dedicated their life to studying demons. They always run with a demon slave with them, can fear their enemies and have many DOT spells that slowly eat the oponent.
If you want to decide whats better for you, don't ask witch one is more powerfull, just ask your RP side: do you want to be an honorable paladin, with shiny plate armour and huge hammer, or maby a servant of shadows who totrures his enemies.
Its up tp you
If you want to play a fun, but difficult class, choose the Warlock.

i would choise warlock if i liked casters but since i like reckoning i choise Paladin;)
so you shud go for lock or pala ...
I have leveled all 3 classes to 60 and i would say:
If you want the most powerfull choose Warlock
If you want the most fun choose Rogue
If you like healing and buffing ppl choose Pally
WOW,eq2,Vanguard,WAR,LOTRO,AOC,Rift Aion, SWTOR, TERA.
Currently playing GW2.
Pick whatcha like - Actually end game - Rogue is very powerful - and delivers so much offense that ya don't really sweat the defense - solo-wise.
Warlock - fun, powerful - useful.
Palidin - end game... why? Servers are already flooded with this class and frankly - end game - they can only spec for healing - why not pick a priest, druid or shammy if that's whatcha want...
I dunno about these spec suggestions .. Ret spec on our server is called "RetNub spec"
only used to level.
Personally, I believe any response will be fascious and or moot.
The word "powerful" is completely subjective, what is powerful to you? Does power mean being able to stay up in a fight long, does it mean handing out damage, does it mean utility, group functionality?
So again, what does it mean to you?
Both Warlocks and Paladin's (and Rogues for that matter) are great classes that can be fun so long as you enjoy their play style.
The Paladin is a Support/Hybrid class, period. Which means it can fill a position/role in a group with a certain amount of success, more so if they specced properly to the given role they are filling in for. Thus their utility can be very high or very low, depending on your views of Hybrids and hence this can affect your over all understanding of "powerful"
The Warlock is an out and out damage dealer, almost any spec of Warlock will out damage a Paladin Retro no matter how well geared. Given of course that both players have an IQ over 50 points. But he/she has limitations. The lock, if caught without the right demon, is a lame duck laughing session that is more known as a pain the ass to kill because of it's high HP, it's not hard, just long and boring.
The Rogue, is well... a rogue. High damage of course, but all subjective on getting in close. In raids they go down fast because of AOE's and in PvP their damage is dependant on stealth and surprise. But that's a Rogue, that's what you expect when you take this class, it's part of the fun. Is Defence an issue? Sure it is, it is for Mages too though, and for priests, warriors, pally's, locks... All classes have to die at some point but don't worry, a Rogue has it's tricks of getting away. But again, don't forget the class, it's a strike and hide kind of game for Rogue, it wont live much past that.
So you see? It's not about which is strongest or which is better or more powerful, it's about what you will find in the class that will make it fun because if theres one absolute certainty in WoW that I've learned it's this.
If your only so-so about the class you picked but you chose it because it was strong and you go against a player who picked a class because they have fun with it and really love to play with it, 9 times out of 10, they'll beat you in every way possible. That includes at the end of the day when they log off and say, yup, that was a good time.
Important Information regarding Posting and You
Paladins are hybrids -- the main thing about a Paladin is it is hard to kill one. They get very good armor and so have very good damage mitigation, they have fast and effective healing spells, reliable interrupts and so forth. They do not do very good damage, however, so they can have difficulty killing things, even if they are retribution specced. Paladins are designed to play a role in a group -- typically either seconary healer or secondary tank -- and that requires speccing a certain way (typically not retribution, which is the spec that people generally use to level). And one of the main achilles heels of the Paladin is that it can't pull easily, it has no ranged attack and is not allowed to train ranged weapons.
Warlocks are completely different. Warlocks have almost no damage mitigation, but they deal very good damage, and are masters at manipulating the health and mana of themselves, their pet and their target. Warlocks can therefore survive rather well under a lot of fire, even though they wear cloth armor. Warlocks are not for everyone however -- they are a bit fiddly when playing them and mainly appeal to players who like a higher than average degree of complexity in their game. They're a fun class if you enjoy that kind of micromanagement, and of course they are an easyish class to level at the moment.
Rogues are totally different again -- tons of DPS, very little mitigation, heavy reliance on stealth, distraction, sapping, poison, etc. to deal effectively with threats. If you like the idea of being patient enough to get in close using stealth, and then pouncing from behind doing massive damage, then the rogue will appeal to you -- but it's not a class for everyone.
The key is that *all* classes can be very powerful when paired together with a player who both understands the class mechanics and possibilities well, and who enjoys playing the way that the class plays, who feels natural playing that way.
