Favorite rpg (non-mmorpg)

What are your favorite rpgs that are not mmorpgs. Preferrably pc rpgs. Any hybrid rpg would work.

Basically I'm looking for more enjoyable rpgs to play.

1- Dark Queen of Krynn (and the other 2, Champions and Knight...and the other gold boxes to a lesser extand, such as Savage frontiers or Pools+)   Carefull, the games are OLD.

2- Baldur's Gate2: Throne of Bhaal (and everything leading to it, including Torment and IWD1&2, including ToEE here)

    3- CoV/CoH, nerfs excluded...yet that is a MMO.

4- NWN2 (and the 1st + expansions)...I use to think ill of this one and most precisely it predecessor...I was expecting to progress from BG2, not to regress!  Now, with time I can appreciate it more!

    5- EQ, raiding excluded...another MMO.

From there, the list is not set as well in my mind and is subject to various changes, depending on my mood or whatever, I am human after all...but these 5, they are solidly in position.

RPG of the year for me was Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

Great for any comic fan. Equally good on Xbox or PC, a refreshing break from the predictable sword and sorcery games.

    Playstation/Nintendo/Dreamcast:

    Parasite Eve series

Final Fantasy series (except XI, but that's an mmo, so it don't count for this anyway)

    Persona series

    Chrono Trigger/ Chrono Cross

    Suikiden series

    Skies of Arcadia

    Brave Fencer Musashi

    Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2

    PC:

    Neverwinter Nights series

    Dungeon Siege series

Knights of the Old Republic series

    Fallout 1 & 2

    Dark Messiah

    Elder Scrolls Morrowwind and Oblivion

    I'll stop there

The Elder Scrolls are my favourite, but I also like the Kotor and Fable. But I am now playing a new game called Rouge Galaxy, this game is a lot of fun and I am very surprised by it. Bring it on down now.

I think the Neverwinter Nights series is great.  So many builds to play with, linear through the game but the player worlds are something to behold.

Those two games I was going to say, creepy.

I really enjoy fables "same story, but play it differently and see how cool it is again" approach.

I still haven't gotten all the ending types due to the sheer variables of the game.

KoTOR will always be right there with Baulders gate II with me.

I also have to same issue with with part II as I do with fable.

How different is Fable on the PC vs on X-Box.  I had a lot of fun with Fable on the XBOX playing it twice through, once good and once bad of course.  Is it a longer game on the PC, because as has been said many time before, fun game just too short.

Fallout is a good game i have both 1 and 2 and i LOVE the easter eggs in there their hilarious i just found the game boring after playing it for almost a year. But i agree it is a good game its just im not really that much into turn-based but i give it two thumbs up.

I'm probably more of a Morrowind fan then an Oblivion one :)

Though, another rpg I liked is Divine Divinity.... It's not a great game, but I enjoyed playing it pretty much. Got quite a bunch of other old ones that are still great.
