To those comparing it to WoW

I'm starting to think that a lot of people blabbering that it's a "WoW clone", either haven't even spend a minute in the game or haven't played an mmo other than WoW. I personally have found more of a resemblance to EQ2 than WoW, although it does have some similarities with both games.

So now, where to actually begin with this game? The quests, are in my opinion, pretty nicely done. The instanced quests that you get here and there, prove to be a bit interactive and are quite fun to do. The rest of the quests are your standard fed-ex and kill/collect quests. It has some things in common with EQ2 such as the trait system (although different from EQ2's), titles that you can use after completing certain accomplishments, non-instanced dungeons, etc. and it's a good thing I suppose.

However, unlike EQ2 or even WoW, it doesn't seem to have enough as of right now. The lack of dark races and lower amount of classes has an effect, although the classes are enjoyable to play. MvP is in no way comparable to pvp, but that depends on personal preference I guess. Still, I don't believe it's "unique" aspect is good enough. No mounts at launch and only a travel system? Come on now, shouldn't it be kind of standard to include mounts in upcoming mmos?

Last and not least for now, is the need to fix their spawns for quest areas. OF course this is still beta, but quest areas get jam packed with players and there aren't enough mobs to go around. They need to either add more quest monsters, or fix their respawn rate, so that we don't wait minutes before doing something.

jeeze, how original was WoW in the first place????? Pretty much all mmorpgs share a lot of ideas from the others. In fact, most things are shared. Yes, LotRO seems to play like WoW, but to me anyway, WoW seemed to play like other mmorpgs.

And THIS GAME **LOOKS** NOTHING LIKE WoW. NOTHING. They couldnt look any different. WoW is cartoony and LotRO is realistic. 6 foot tall players dont have 5 foot long arms, and their biceps arent as big as their waist, and the world doesnt look like a fairly land cartoon. That is not a criticism of WoW, it is just recognition that the games have totally different looks and ambience. TOTALLY.

    Elladan - ESO (AD)
    Camring - SWTOR (Ebon Hawk)
Eol & Justinian - Rift (Faeblight)
Ceol and Duri - LotRO (Landroval)
    Kili - WoW
    Eol - Lineage 2
    Camring - SWG
    Justinian (Nimue), Camring - DAoC

That's exactly what I was trying to point out. Sure the game might have some similarities to WoW, although I find it has more in common w/ EQ2, but WoW has copied all of the others.
