Question about starting to play AC again

I used to play Asherons call and havent in about 2 maybe 3 years, My question is how many people still play? Will I find towns deserted and only a few allegiances left? or is it still a thriving game with towns filled with people?. I remeber a little while before I stopped playing people were starting to leave for other games.

    AC is still going, graphics are a bit dated, but graphics do not a game make, the comunity in ac is one of the best going, and you will find a good group of people still around, although the bots are taking over the game, they seem to be breeding faster than the olthoi and nothing is being done about them it seems,  - do ac a favour , report a ucm a day:)



    i recently left after 6 years, and if you've not played for a couple of years, you'll have fun with all the new stuff in the game, and you still get monthly patches for new story lines.

    make sure you have the Throne of Destiny expansion though, load of new content and they raised the max lvl as well

    given how long this game has been going, it's still got a loyal fan base, and people return all the time

    Oh my, this game is still going!? I might have to dig my cd out. This could keep me busy till AoC or Darkfall come out. It's been so long I forgot if they had seperate servers for PvP or a quest.... If memory serves me it is a quest...??

    As of now towns are dead or dead'ish  Nearly all the players gather at guild mansions or the "Marketplace". TurDbine added global chat channels to AC last year so you can talk to everyone on the server.

    I rejoined for about a month. truthfully it was the bots that made it fun but they killed it for me just as fast. I wish it could be what it was but its filled with old timers that just made theyre badass chars into bots.

    I'd like to know where all these players are in game....I came back a few months ago and played for about 2 weeks. In those two weeks, I saw MAYBE 15 other players outside of the marketplace. The marketplace had about 25 people in it, 20 of them bots. The towns are as dead as they were when they origionally opened the marketplace, and this includes the new area. It's a lonely game.  /sigh

    dunno how it is on other servers but on dt every town is full of ppl you dont wanne see hehe
