in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Let's gather the bugs we encouter and let's put a solution for it.  I donno how long this post can last, but if we can gather a good list, it will help everyone if they encouter that said bug.



Here we go:



Bug that i experience in game:



-Lost connection to group

    -Solution:  Boot the guy from teh group and reinvite.  Usually works.  No need to log out/in



-Trading in group bug

    -Haven't seen this one in a while (maybe it's because i avoid trading in group now...).  What this bug does is that it messes your quest log.  Solution: Log out/in



-Chunk putting you in 1st person

    -Solution: Use your mouse well to zoom out cam



-Mob disapearing

    -Solution: back out a bit, a keep fighting and eventually, the mob will reappear (works 98% of the time).  You can still use your specials, try it.



-No Guild bug

    -Solution: Quit the game normally and relog



-Solo quest involving collecting items from mob.  Items aren't always lootable by every group members

    -Solution: Share the loot

No specific bugged quest for me ATM.  If you guys find some, please be specific.

    - Cant harvest a node - getting a message cant be done at this time

        -Solution: click again on the node and type /e in the chat







    So far the most severe one I got was logged in to the game 2 days ago in the middle of a different continent that I logged out of of - endless hours of fun right there

    Come on guys... apparently, there is a ton of bugs in VG.  Let's list them and add our work arounds.



    -I'm stuck! Falling from the world

        -Solution:  type /stuck and wait a big.  Or if you have a friend close, have him get close to you and type /rope



    -I don't look like i used too!!

        -Redo your character.  Save your template.  If you look different, go back to char screen and load your template

    screw that I pay for this crap, i don't like paying for broken things usually...at least let them do the work.

    Ya if they would like to pay me instead of me paying them then I might report a bug. Besides I cant play this game for more than 5 minuts without finding a bug so what am i to do? spend ALL my game time helping them hunt down bugs lol? Ill leave that to the fanbois and girls over at slimy venom.

    I got a solution to all these bugs.









    Uninstall.  Solves all the bugs.

    Yep, best idea ever! We pay to play and this is unacceptable, send a message to these hacks releasing crappy, buggy games. Other products you buy are required to operate flawlessly, why do these stupid fanbois put up with this crap? Are you that desperate they can get away with making you put up with this crap because of your insane desire to play this game? Are these fanbois in their right mind, I don't think so.

    If you have any questions please ask. I have moved on to WoW from eq and no longer have any desire to play a dead game. Thank you. (posted by another selling his account in EQ1)

    These are workarounds, not solutions.  Might be semantics to you, but in my line of business, our customers are actually important.

    Well...since the thread has already been hi-jacked...

    Reading the posts around here, I see people complain about the "horrible" Vanguard community, but here is a person (Matraque) trying to help others. What does he get for his attempt? People deciding that this is a great opportunity to take shots at the game, Sigil and/or SOE. 

    If you don't like the game, why not start your own thread or post in one of the already existing review threads instead?

     

    Matraque, have you tried doing this on some of the Vanguard affiliate sites? I think you would get more exposure and responses there.

    Thats cool, i'll not post this in an affiliate.  I like to see how this thread got hijacked.  It proves a lot.



    I'm just looking for teh 100's of bugs people are saying are gamebreaking.  The ones i listed have a work around, i'm sure there is more.



    It also shows that the community is full of haters... it's not VG players that seems to "destroy" the community, it's the haters that slips in pretending stuff.

    Good post, too bad there are so many trolls that have nothing better to do than piss all over every thread in this forum.

    I haven't encountered too many bugs.  However, with my video card I sometimes get graphical hiccups.  /flush works wonders on clearning things up.

    I appreciate the thought behind this thread, the work-arounds are quite helpful until fixes are in place.
