So i have both read and heard alot about the cheating ppls of EvE. And me myself has beginning to consider quiting EvE because of that, Because of a company that betrayed players of a great game.
So My question is: How many of you guys here will actually quit eve? Will you stay?
Tell me why you guys are quiting.
Remember only players that have a Serious account can answere this question, I don´t want anyone of you Trail Accounters.

at least not yet, i mean come on!
Well, anyone who has read my posts knows I won't be leaving.
Why?
First, as I see things, there was a problem at CCP that was already being addressed before it was made public. As far as I am concerned, CCP has made mistakes, has admitted its mistakes, and is taking steps to correct them. That goes a long way with me.
Second, I never expect a game to be fair. In some games the deck is stacked against certain players because they don't play enough hours, or because they insist on a certain playstyle, or they will only do...whatever. Or other players use exploits, or buy gold online, or...the list goes on and on. Bottom line, games are not fair. I realized that years ago and came to the decision that I will either do my best to adapt so that my experience is fun, or I will go elsewhere.
Third, for me, the bottom line is fun. I find EVE fun. In fact, I find EVE more fun than any MMO I have played.
Finally, even if what was uncovered about CCP was ongoing now and into the future, given the way I play and who I play with, I cannot forsee that my playstyle, fun, sense of fairness, or anything else about my play experience would be adversely affected.
Given all of the above, as you can see, I would be crazy to quit. Even if the whole mess caused me to be quite incensed over CCPs actions and inactions, it would still be a simple case of cutting of my nose to spite my face.
So, here I stay.
I only played for 2 months. My sub ends on the 24th. I just got bored gate camping in 0.0 space and docking everytime a red star came along.
Final word is always up to number of people on servers and that number has not changed. If the fact that some GM produced t2 ammo blueprints 6 months ago cant let some people sleep at night then by all means, quit and be done w/ it.
I don't care, this is a game and I have fun playing it. I was in AXE helping ASCN when they were fighting BoB and I remember all the node crashes and all the confusion. Guess what, I don't care.
I quit playing. No big conspiracy theories here, just looked at the situation (read all the background info, didn't go on heresay), how it was handled. Couple things I had a problem with so I stopped playing, primarily a player publically posting another players personal information without any reprecussions. To me, that should be pretty straightforward.
I had just started too, 1 month 25 days. It was probably one of the better MMO's I played. Only negatives I had with the game were travel times (really got sick of jumping sometimes), and personally think the community left alot to be desired.
If you don't have a problem with CCP/EvE then cool, have fun. If you do have a problem, stop playing. No reason to beat a dead horse. I personally don't know what's worse, the people who are sooo pissed and can't let it go(and keep playing), or the fanboi's that you would swear had some stock option plan the way they defend CCP.
Yes, I quit, no, not because of the cheating per se, but rather because of the way CCP handled it. They lied, obfuscated, covered up and only admitted to having a problem after it was exposed by an outside party. That's just not people I care to do business with.
I did quit, now after 3 years of playing I have canceled both my accounts, and yeah it is because of the situation going on with Dev's cheating and BoB cheating... I find it unacceptable how CCP dealt with the situation.
Might come back if CCP deal with this but looking at how it is going I doubt I ever will return.
Obviously... I'm not quitting. Anyone who is quitting was just looking for a reason to quit anyway.
No, I don't want your stuff. I don't have the patience to haul it anyway (Unless you have BPO's... I'd love those and they're easy and quick to transport! )

Hit me up! K0n Fus10n
(oh, yeah... umm... like -- not quitting and stuff k plz thx)
All of my account renewals are cancelled. Not because of the cheating but both because of the way it was handled and the suspicion around broader problems that both the cheating and the handling of it created.
I'm playing Vanguard now. Might try out Darkfall, and of course Pirates of the Burning Sea. Looking forward to Infinity: The quest for earth next year.
Eve was a fun game. If CCP turns it around I might stop by from time to time to grief some newb -- until I settle elsewhere -- but I can't see myself ever being as involved as I was at the whole alliance political level. Meh.
To those of you leaving - see you on the Burning Sea.
To those of you staying - fly safe.

No, I'm not quitting EVE. Especially not because of anything that happened 6 months ago.
Oh yeah - one more thing for you lads choosing to fly on at this point:
From one New Eden lover to another, differences in our view of the current issues of integrity aside, I sincerely hope that you are very critical of these types of issues going forward. I hope that you hold CCP to a higher standard of accountability. I hope you guys don't just settle for smoke and mirrors.
With this situation as backing and in your recent memory I hope that you guys make CCP become a company of integrity again. It's sad that they lost that.
Cheers - fly safe.
Guides & Trials for EvE Online:
CCP did in fact help BoB
CCP did in fact not punish some players for the same offense that caused others to be permabanned.
CCP is still whitewashing and covering up the whole mess they created by lieing to the playerbase.
CCP has lost trust of the playerbase.
The node crashes were not the issue at all, if someone at ccp gave bob a heads up on a node crashing, then that is another case of insider help (bob did not cause a crash intentionaly).
The bottom line is, ccp lied, covered up, then began a propaganda war to save face...trust lost is what the issue is, not that Eve is a game (DUHH!!)
3 accounts closed...last one is on gtc's, and doubt it will re-sub.
I can be swayed to stay, but not until I see real resolve, and less ccp/cccp style management of the game and forums (favortism to those the ruling party likes, and F everyone else)
ccp the "we cheat for our buddies and are proud of it" company...
the cheating and spawning of things to help themselves (ccp) and their buddies was something that could have been happening since the game launched...
So please understand it is not a one time, tiny event...it was a total slap in the face to all the honest players, then another slap when they decided to not enforce their rules on their own people...
I do agree the game is great, the play is top notch, but I do have issues supporting a company that behaves like ccp has/is.
ccp the "we cheat for our buddies and are proud of it" company...
Well true that the whole incident does not really affect my gameplay, I where a producer, miner and missionrunner and rarely out in 0.0 and not part of any alliances.
However, it is how the company handled this crisis... they tried to coverup, treat other players differently (banning thing), attempts to silence the playerbase on the forums.
Infact it turns out they have done this in the past too, back in the days when the Macrominers where hitting the roof of complaints what did CCP do ? they locked every post about it and only kept one thread open for discussion, NO dev took the time to answer to the thread... nothing, nada .. nix... and what happend now ? they locked/deleted threads on the forums about this, refered to the one opened, and Kieron himself answered NOTHING about the allegations they where facing.
