I was looking at the game list and i scrolled all the way down to the beta games and saw a game that was ranked higher than World of Warcraft. At first it thought i didnt read it right and I thought it was a low ranked game that was already out and then I looked closer and found that it was actually a new game in the beta stages. Ill make a list of information that i would like to be answered if anyone knows more about the game. Here it is:
1. Does this game have a website?
2. When will it be looking for beta testers?
3. Will there be good PvP? PvE? Role Playing?
4. Character/Class info?
5. Skill System?
6. Experience System?
7. How is the community?
The main question I am looking for is if there is a website. I can probly find most of this information on the website if there is one. This game looks like it will be a good one and it sure has some potential, i mean it has the best hype right now. The graphics look awesome and looks like a lot of fun. The game's from the makers of Everquest its bound to be successful. PM me or just reply to this thread if you have any extra information about this game. Thanks!

I am really looking forward to this game too but as ramadin said its a long long way off yet. Its actually in alpha stages I believe or maybe the very earliest stages of beta with internal testing only.
Here is the website:

The game is being made by Sigil which was founded by some of the key people behind the original EQ. From the sound of it they will be trying to recapture the magic of the original EQ and yet remove some of the stuff that was less desireable from that game.
I am excited about this one because these guys seem to be some of the only devs to realize the importance of NPC factions and race cultures and such that made EQ so good. Because of the NPC factions and such it should be a excellent environment to roleplay in. If any mmorpg takes off with the popularity and long standing players that EQ did it will be this one imo.
As for PvP that is not a key element of the game. They mention they may add a pvp server or some form of duels in the FAQ.

Vanguard: Saga of Heros is the name of the game. Sigil Online Games is the name of the company developing it.

Are the offical websites for the game however there are already several fansites for vanguard already

Are just a few of those already in action for this game. Those like myself who have been following it for sometime are eager to see what the talented team at Sigil will come up with in thier development of this game.
A friend and I have been watching this game for awhile, since it was just know as the Sigil project and have finally decided to put up a website for it at www.epicvanguard.com. The forums are still pretty much empty as we are just opening up and forums themselves are needing to be synced with the rest of the theme feel free to post away there about V:SoH if u like.
Also, another good source besides the great links in the last post above is:

ROFLMAO!!!! Either you are joking or you have no idea what you are talking about.
This game is being developed by some of the most outstanding pioneers in the gaming industry. The level of talent and expeirence behind Vanguard alone are overwelming. The fan base of this game, allthough it is still far from release, is more then many games recieve throughout thier exsistence.
Also this game has is being produced by microsoft which has been rumored to have dropped other projects for the sake of this one. If Sigil has thier confidence to such an extreme it only stands to reason that they would be given the fullest confidence of the gaming community as well.
This game is likely to be an even more overwelming sucess then the teams frst big project EverQuest. The likely hood of it failing is almost nonexsistent.
Well you have to look at the team behind this game.EQ has 500,00 accounts and an estimated 1 million others with nostalgia for the adventure spirit of EQ when it came out.
This guys made the original EQ and make all efforts to let us know this.
Why?Because they want to appeal to the nostalgia crowd.
If they play their cards right it can be an instant hit.
I have looked in both games and this is in NO WAY even simialar to WoW
Vanguard is likely to be the next generation in MMORPG. With the talent of the Sigil team it will clearly be a hit.
As far as the gameply the tastes we have been given thus far. Have FAR exsided anything any of us has seen prior.
Sadley however since the game is so far off yet we will only have to make due with tastes untill then. However we are getting those on a nice steady pace.
I agree with Tor even tho these are beginning simple screens....it is the team that is behind it that behind it that makes this product very promising.
Sigil team is consinting of long term gamers, rpgers, mud, and mmo players as well as having been involved in the mmo concept since not long after its graphical inception.
In mentioning that, yes they have a lot of hype built up behind them for the same reasons, so only time will tell
Well if WoW can be hyped this game certainly can be.
WoW is been made by people who have yet to be proven in the mmorpg industry.
Here is a team comprising of people who made the most popular mmorpg in the western hemisphere.
I could not agree with you more on this Hercules.
The team of developers working on for Sigil on the Vanguard project are some of the most well proven talents of the online gaming industry to date.
As far as those of you who are basing what the game will do just on the great graphics, I would strongly suggest getting a better view of the dynamic game play concepts that have been released thus far on the FAQ sections of the offical sites.
