Having Trouble Registering Beta Key (Please Help)

I was invited to beta. They emailed me a key.
I signed up for a Turbine account. It says I'm subscribed to LOTRO Beta and my 'free' sub ends 04/24/2007. So I did this part right. I have signed up for the Beta forums too and have logged in.
So I went to file planet and downloaded the client. I downloaded the EU client from FilePlanet (but I'm from the USA). Do I have to download the client from the link they gave me? I got the one from File Planet but it did say "EU only." The reason I downloaded this anyway is because I think that only means if you are a FilePlanet member and from Europe you can get into beta that way. Again, do I HAVE to download the US client?
Or more directly, is the US beta client different from the EU one?
The problem I'm having is when I follow the link to CodeMasters from the LOTRO launch pad/client it tells me my Key is invalid. Is this because I'm trying to register with CodeMasters from the EU client?
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, been messing with it for hours. I deleted the EU client and am downloading the client from the US LOTRO site, though I am not sure yet if this is the problem.
I assume I receive/create my login information with CodeMasters? Is there somewhere else I am supposed to create the Beta log in screen name and password?
Please some one help a me out.

I have one more question: When you say that after downloading the US Client I'll be all set, do I still have to register with CodeMasters to generate a log in name/password? The reason I ask this is because I already registered my info with CodeMasters only when I try to put the key in for LOTRO Beta it tells me the Key is invalid. I hope that when I enter my info again with CodeMasters it won't tell me "You already have an account." Or will it matter? Should my Key then work when I link to CodeMasters from the correct (US) client?
Anyway, yeah, I tried to get it from FilerPlanet because the link they game me was going so slow. I even tried using the Bit Torrent download but was getting like 3kb sec down (even though I have the right ports open for UTorrent). Right now the US download is running at 300kb a sec so at least it's moving faster than before. Guess this is wha I get fr trying to speed things up, heh.

If you got invited by Turbine then you don't have to do anything with Codemasters.
Codemasters runs the EU version and Turbine runs the US version.
The key you got from Turbine only works with the US version so you should be able to use that key when you have finished downloading it.
Pretty annoying so many gamecompanies use 2 different versions for EU and US players.
It's more annoying than helpful.
