    How did you determine that? Because it dominates the most recent posts?  Well, that would happen with a game that is recently released so that doesn't really mean anything.

    wouldnt doubt it...... it just came out, just like how VG was the top rated game on the charts when it first came out, now its not even on the list. Once other games come out there forums will be much more crowded then this one.

    Oh and this forum has very polar groups, it seems a good portion of this forums population is either vaniboy or troll, so this tends to cause a ton of posts.

    If only i could find a troll with a tin foil hat. =(

    did yah ever think they might be posting on there offical forum? VG doesnt have one so people post more in places like this. The number of posts a game gets really means nothing.

    If only i could find a troll with a tin foil hat. =(

    Since people who bought the burning crusade are happy and all, they go and play the game.



    Since people are disappointed in VG, like me, are here to complain about it.



    Yes VG is popular, more like notorious, for being the worst game at launch ever, and we posters are posting about it.

    Also... even if they are happy, people will post on board.  WoW players are so happy about BC and WoW in general.  Check www.worldofwarcraft.com



    And the worst launch ever was SWG.  I was there and apparently, it was teh best game EVER.

    This is pretty much a WoW forum anyway. A lot of people are basing their 'like' of Vanguard on the fact that they hate WoW and they need an anti-thesis. So they aren't even fans of Vanguard, posting incessantly on these forums defending Vanguard no matter the points made while not even really playing it is enough to 'enjoy' the game.

    WoW... the 1st page have like 6 post from today.

    If I were a MMORPG producer, I'd sure be happier with a higher number of players online as opposed to meaningless forum post numbers by a small base of vanboi's.

    It is obvious from many of the posts in this forum that Vanguard does appear to have a monopoly on the intellectual elite.



    Socrates has nothing on the logic displayed by the Vanguard fan. Such abstract thinkers... all this talent should be harnessed by governments around the world.

    Count up the posts about vanguard on this site and then tally the posts about WoW and get back to us about this "domination" as you put it.  Didn't the "king of mmo's" just have an expansion Flaming Crusade or something?  Where's all the buzz about that?  Were the WoW trolls so disappointed in their expansion that they had to take out their aggression out on another young game fresh on the market?

    This is not a discussion about the games, but about the posting habit of the mmorpg.com visitors.

    But the funny thing is, and this really makes me laugh, the fans of this game trying to compare this game to others, proving it's superiority, yet when us "haters" bring on arguments and numbers they are all defensive, like how can we compare a care-bear game like WoW to this?? .. etc.



    Main difference between WoW and VG community is, that the immature WoW players are below 20, and the immature VG players are (well) above 20.... both have the same percentage of immature people, no doubt.

    None because the SWG refugee jumped on the VG hate wagon.  They forum is pretty quiet now i must say.

    I don't think that's an accurate assessment.  It seems people pro-vanguard spend way more time defending it against the Flaming Crusade.  Pro-vanguard people also take time to discuss the game here because these are vanguard forums right?  ie:  "how's the crafting?"  "what's a good pet class?"  "are dreadknights any good?"  You also see a few reviews of good/bad/in between.  You almost make it sound that people that like vanguard (once again posting in vanguard forums)  are saying this is the best game in history.  Yes, you occasionaly get a post along those lines but those are few and far between (one could also speculate "planted" to stir crap) 

    What you do see are people that play other games come here to flame vanguard, brad mcquaid, SOE, and whatever else fancies them at the moment.  Look at the big picture.

    As much as some of you might hate it, WoW is still the King of MMORPGs and dominates by miles. But I sure as hell hope something else decrowns it cause I'm pretty tired of it, I want something that geuwinly superceeds it. I hope VG does in the future, but it doesn't in its sorry state right now.
