A few questions....

Ive just ordered the game and i should get it in a few days....

There is just a few things which i want to ask though:

1)Classes - I played a paladin to lvl 62 on WoW and i enjoyed it at first but i got a bit sick of being the buff/healbot in every group i was in. I still want to play a melee class though, but i want to be able to do damage instead of healing etc. Which classes would you reccomend as being fun to play and are wanted in groups? Sorry im not very specific but i dont know anything about this game yet

2)Mounts and Housing - basically what lvl do they become available and how hard is it to get them, what do they cost etc?

3) RP servers - I played on an RP-PVP server on WoW and really enjoyed it despite the huge amount of OOCs... what are the RP servers like on EQ2 and how is the community / is there alot of OOCs?

Just a few questions, any answers would be appreciated

I would say ia guardian or berserker out of the six different types of fighter classes seems to be the favorite to be imho.

Couldn't find a decent guide to link so you could read up on the different types.

1. If you want a heavy armored fighter i would go with the Berserker. If you want a lighter armored fighter then i would say Bruiser (or if you want to start in Qeynos go with Monk)

2. You get your first inn room almost as soon as you leave the Isle. Costs from memory 5sp a week which is nothing. You can get most other sized houses at any time provided you have the money. And if you are in a guild you can get the same houses with a smaller cost and upkeep fee but it takes some status points in compensation. Mounts are the same as houses, can get most of them anytime provided you have the money, and again, like houses their are status ones too so the cost is reduced.

These horses can be purchased at your local stable.
