stress test

in Lord of the Rings Online
So the stress test means we can give LOTR a free try come friday the 23rd? Sounds good to me.

    it's to see how many people they can cram in before the server melts down into little puddles on the floor, expect server crash, login que, rubber banding and lag from hell, server crash, then rinse and repeat during the prime time. Remember a little pain now will make for a better release. On the plus side off prime time should be pretty tolerable.

    Still I expect to see posts like "this sucks omygawd it is lagggggging"

    ya I know what a stress test is. but they just had one a few weeks ago, but I suppose its almost release time.

    At least they offer prizes to win to some of the players for helping them out while they attempt to blow the servers.

    Amen. That's kinda what I do. Login to do "my part" on one machine, surf the internet on another and watch movie channels on TV.

    Is the stress test version different from the normal Beta ? I have access to beta thru Codmasters  but my username & passords won't work  I was thinking  that its because I downloaded the wrong version ?  i DL the stress test version
