Tell me how the PvP is...

...while I am waiting for this wierd, huge  9 part download to finish.

I was reading up and it mentions there are a few differnt ways to PvP. There is city vs city, party vs party and one other...sorry I forgot...its 7am and I'm not finished with my first coffee yet.

How does it work, anyone know yet? I'm especially interested in how the city vs city works. Do you build your own cities or do players take up residence in different cities? Is everyone basically a sort of open PvP then? I haven't read anywhere its an L2 type setup. Is there a siege type setup? What happens when you meet someone from another city? It looks like in some of the movies PvP is a big part.

So far you guys all have peaked my curiousity. If the PvE is a step ahead and the PvP is good, this may be the game to play. Seeing its an Asian game we can assume the PvP will be pretty good. I'm a bit worried about the PvE end though...just being honest...I'm a 1 year L2 vet and don't think I could handle another raw grinder.

I really like the direction of the art and setting. Not really a typical fantasy setting. Hooray for the players!!!!

Anyway....bored early morning ramblings......download faster damn it.

I have no idea where you got the city vs city idea, pretty sure it's not in this game. This game has the basic family vs family pvp duels, large scale pvp matches, colony wars which from my understanding are fights for control over certain parts of certain maps, and the guild which has control of that point gets some sort of buff, but i'm not sure. That's about it I think, it might have missed something.

One of my favorite parts of pvp thus far is that in higher level dungeons you cant refuse duels, and the winner of a duel has the option of sending the loser back to town, hows that for controlling the botters?

also, dont get too hyped about this game, it's not quite as revolutionary as some people are making it out to be.

I watched a few trailers and I swear one of them said city vs city..... I wouldn't make it up ...honest...maybe I misunderstood.

    I like that respawn thing.

Don't worry about the it living up to any expectation, I'm the optimistic, pessimist sort lol

There are a ton of videos on youtube also. How long has this game been released in Asia? I'm guessing at least a year.

hmm, well there's no city vs city PVP in the korean version, so it would be pretty intresting if K2 actualy put in something special for the US version.

Well they could just be misrepresnting the already existing pvp system, and calling large scale (60v60 I think) battles CvC. They also didnt mention PKing in the video which is a bit strange. Either way, ill believe it when I see it.

On the loading screens between areas there are ads for new zones, features and faction PvP that are "coming soon"

I am pretty sure what they mean by City vs City is Colony vs Colony.  Each colony is held by a faction that can have up to 51 members in it for a total of 153 characters on screen.  The colonies then have to hold objective points while trying to take similiar objective points from the opposing colony.  City vs City would actually be kinda retarded since people go to cities based on thier level.  Just imagine the City of Auch fighting the City of Rebolduex.  lvl 1's vs lvl 100's.

Also that last sound FX with the sword clashing into the title sounded really lame.  It had the Knight Online cheap development feel to it.
