KK so I have played many MMOs and I gotta say daoc had the best pvp by far, and I need an mmo with good pvp until WAR comes out. So what game has the best pvp, I was thinking about guild wars, but what do u guys think...?
World War 2 Online if your into that. ShadowBane might be worth a shot, i heard its free now. EVE seems to be a lot of fun for a lot of people, i could'nt get into it though. And yes, guild wars is a fun game and might be the best choice since your still waiting for another game anyhow.
Really depends what makes good PVP for you. I didn't really get too much into DAOC, the game itself just don't appeal to me (at least in the early days shortly after it's release).
I loved UO and AC1's PVP more than any other game to date. With that said the only MMO's released recently that I have found the PVP even remotely enjoyable are EVE Online and Vanguard on the FFA server.
Combined, both these games give me enough of a PVP fix until...possibly AOC, and (wishful thinking) Darkfall.
It really depends on you....if you really want some challenge, you should try Lineage2, it has an open pvp system. So once you are out of town or village, anybody can pvp you, you can also pvp in the arena if you like though, hopefully it helps
1. UO (Pre Trammel). Probably the best PvP ever.. it took skill, and knowledge of your build to pull off a good PvP toon.
2. Shadowbane - The best all out PvP game ever, too bad the support and the coding was faulty. Had the best Ideas for PvP in a game.
3. DAoC - RvR was the schiznit. Not quite as good as Shadowbane's free for all style.. but it had epic battles.
those are my top 3. I have played L2, AC, EQ, WoW, and a myriad of other games, but these 3 rank as the best ones ever created. Im even testing out the Monster Play in LOtRo, and its a bunch of fun - ther are balance issues as of yet, but the design and the fighting can get intense. (We had a 13 hour long battle for a keep... it was unreal)

Well I have vanguard, and decided to quest when someone told me that when u pvp, u lose all ur money u have, thats when I said...GAY and decided to quest, I like games that have pvp like daoc.

Yeah, it really depends on personal taste. Currently in PVP death you lose 15% of your coin, chance of a durability hit on equipped items & infamacy loss (which means nothing except bragging rights atm); assuming the person who killed you is within 20% of your level.
Personally, with banking readily available I think the death penalty is quite weak. I know they are considering adding an item looting ruleset, if so, i've found my home until Darkfall arrives and will skip right over AOC
Hey!, if you came from DAOC and want other same expirence but better , Lineage 2 is your game xDD , Guild Wars very nice pvp but not totally free , ( very strategic pvp always u need to setup ur build with ur team for make a good figth ) lot of skills for every profession
