Roleplay Value?

Hey everyone, by what people are saying, does this game have any real roleplay value? Here are some things I am looking for:

Housing: not instanced like EQ2, but as people have their own plot.

Non-Adventurer clothing?

Taverns?

Cool mounts?

And I'll answer as informatively as I can:

Housing is not planned for launch. Turbine hopes to add housing later, but it will likely be in some sort of instance. And quite frankly I'm glad. I don't want to see any urban sprawl destroying the beautiful landscapes as the urban sprawl ruined swg.

As for non-adventurer clothing, it has what I'd call some decent rp clothing.  There are a variety of hats and head wear appropriate to Tolkien, and there is cloth armor and robes that do not look to outlandishly 'adventurous' for roleplaying. Oh, and plenty of capes and hooded cloaks.

Taverns: Yes in the populated areas of the crasser races  I have yet to find an Elven Tavern.

Cool mounts I suppose is highly subjective.  There are lore-appropriate mounts for a Lord of the Rings setting. There are ponies for the small races, and horses for the larger races.  Mounts were not supposed to make it for launch, but since the game was so solid, they've been adding these sorts of wish-list items. I expect them to develop mounts even more as the game progresses. You won't see dragon mounts or griffons or unicorns or pegasus--all of which would not belong in LOTRO. There are no ships, because, well, there's no sizeable body of water to navigate on the continent, and we likely won't see anything near the oceans until later content releases.

What Cerion said. Though I hope more for housing like they did in DAoC: In a instanced zone but you can get plots and there is an outside and inside of house. Regarding mounts, I can't find the post/quote, but the idea of varying the mounts is on the table for sure and will most proably happen with the rohan expansion. Probably won't be any flying mounts, though, which is cool by me.
