Wtf are you killing, greens? I'm killing mobs who give 5 exp, which translates into .25% exp, and they die within 20 seconds. Yeah, Asian Grindfest. lern2play.

Uh, guys (and gals?). It is the stated design intent of V:SoH be a 'slow-to-level' game. It wants to be 'hardcore', remember? I wants to be different from WoW, yes? There are may games out there that level WAY faster than V:SoH, Anarchy Online for instance, makes the first 100 levels very easy to attain. Anyone coming from a game that has fast leveling is going to be very frustrated with V:SoH.
For example, in WoW, a good player can go level 1 to 6 in under an hour. Level 1 to 10 in under 4 hours. Even post level 40, an experienced player can do a full Level in a day. This is no BS, it is done all the time.
Someone coming from an environment like this to V:SoH is going to be very unhappy with their progress in the game. That it is the intent of the design to be a slow advancement curve does not help if the player does not know about it.
Now, one could say (I would not) that they are noobs and should know better and so forth. But that does not help V:SoH become a successful game. It makes V:SoH a very unfriendly game for new players and unprepared players. And that, I fear, is going to make V:SoH a failure.
And yes, I DID go back to play WoW after canceling my V:SoH subscription.
Looking forward to trying LoTRO. Really like the idea of the Monster Play.
The game is not fun. I know there is no way to prove this but I would be willing to bet that 50% of the people playing this game are playing it because they feel obligated to play it because they have money invested in it.
You can tell me I am wrong in 2 months when the new ears off and no one is left to complain about the ninja nerfs that make grinding that much more of a pain in the ass!!
Who the heck would do things against their will for making a bad investment of... $50?
Seriously...
Someone that likes to play video games and has a wife. Someone who knows if they want to buy another one they better make it look like they made a good investment on their purchases.
Mommy and Daddy are very different than having a wife.

You may be right. I'll let you know in a couple of months whether there I am still enjoying the game or not. That's assuming, of course, I remember your handle and your comment among the many people who have said virtually the same thing.
The only thing I have found to be unenjoyable so far is the crafting grind.

Fair enough, I've never had a wife so can't relate.
What does mommy and daddy have to do with anything? I'm 21 and live by myself, but all I'm saying is that if $50 would make an impact on my economy that requires any form of adjustment I wouldn't spend it on a game.
Maybe you should just learn to play. How about that? 0.01% exp? That's probably not even possible. Even light blues gives more than that at 31. Another troll. LOVE IT!

Your are honestly right and somehow convinced me to cancel my account, Vanguard is not the game i thought it would be.
