Not sure if it has been mentioned already... but it looks like WAR will be available on the XBOX360 and possibly the PS3. MMORPG's are beginning to show thier face on the Next Gen consoles with FFXI, Age of Conan, etc...
Now I am a supporter of MMORPG's on the console because the next-gen consoles are ready for these types of games. I tend not to buy into all the possible "cons" about the console MMORPG's because I have yet to hear one that is really startling (not that some of the concerns about the controllers and things like that aren't important... but I think they've been addressed before and there is no "concrete" example of that being a problem on the console and PC)
NOTE: I don't want to start a pro's and con's of the console war... cause it's been done before... I was just putting it out there, and hopefully this is exciting to anyone else who is interested in console play!

I think that MMOs can be done on consoles. I just don't think they should mix. If you make an MMO for the PC, make it PC-only. IF you make an MMO for the consoles, make it console-only. Multiplatforming only leads to pain for PC gamers, and I'm tired of good games getting nerfed to work with a gamepad. Oblivion, anyone? Did any PC player like that UI?
Plus, I've found console players, even if they have a keyboard, are less comunicative. They won't talk to you unless they absolutely must. Or only with voicechat. I hate voicechat...
Seriously.

And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "
Other than that - I say bring it on.

I think console players are getting a bad rap about not communicating. I think there is always going to be someone who doesn't communicate well, and then there is going to be players that do...regardless of their system.
I played FFXI on the PS2... then on the PC, then on the XBOX360... I didn't suddenly change from "no communication" to "great communication" and back to "no communication" because I had a controller in my hand...
I actually used a USB keyboard (which everyone does on the console after they have the game for about a week). If a console player just bought the game... and isn't sure if it's for them... then yeah, they probably don't have a keyboard yet. The serious players are going to have keyboards and everything else that is needed to make their experience as great as possible.
You are always going to run into players who aren't as savvy with MMO's as more experienced players... and yes, it will probably show more on the console then on the PC... but those players won't last any longer on the console as the players on the PC that don't know what they are doing...
I think it's foolish to assume that every player on the console has no idea what they're doing... and it's just as foolish to assume that every player on the PC is superior...
I don't know how many clueless and immature "kids" I experienced when playing WOW... that game alone has more younger kids on it that take away from the experience...
