what i would like to see in guild wars

i think GW is a great game but i think it could be better by adding some simple things.

1.i think GW should have a mailing system, not like a mailbox type thing, instead of having a mailbox you could buy an owl or some sort of flying animal and you also buy paper to write on and then when you want to send a letter yougive it to your animal and it flys away to the recipient and whenever they come online your animal will give fly down and give them the letter. i dont think you should be able send items. the reason for this is i may want to tell a guildie or a friend about something who might be going on tomorrow but iam not so you can just send a letter.

2.Guild halls imo  could have a guild bank which all guildies can access and also put items in to share with the guild, guildies can put a item in there which is for a certain other person (in the guild) so when they come online the person can can get that item and not have to wait until his guildie is online.

i would like this because if a certain person isnt online and i have something for them i can put it in the guild bank and they can get it whenever, also it saves people making bank chars for there guild.

(this would be located in the GH)

3.i would like a better trading system where people can go to a special trading spot in each city and put there items up for offer like a market type thing and people click on your little stall and see what u got, if they like they buy, and iam not sure about this but maybe ou could leave ur stall there while u adventure or what not, but the place maybe ruined by people spamming GREEN HAMMER CHEAP!!!!, but that could be prevented somehow.

this would be good imo because trying to trade and read trades in GW is  crazy and annoying

    1. There was actually a message system during the second World Preview Event back before Prophecies was launched. Not sure why they took it away (server space maybe?)

    2. Nice idea though I'd grant several levels of access rights, instead of "Free for all" as you seem to suggest.

    3. It's in the works. How long it will take, no one really knows.

I'd say, when presenting new ideas, try to think about how one could abuse them. That way they get more detailed and more convincing. :)

I like #1 and with the ability to send weapons and such in #1, there would be no need for #2.  I've been asking for this for quite some time but I do not think they are going to implement it.  It would be great to be able to do this so that you could, like you said in #2, not have to wait on a guild mate to show up to give them something.

As for #3, I have been wanting an Auction House for a while but it would be stupid to have that.  However, i like your idea of a bazaar.  I've seen that in a few other MMORPG's and even though it crowds the hell out of towns I think it would be used a lot more often than the whole Trade/Party search crap they implemented earlier.  The only issue I foresee is that the prices on some items like dyes and materials can fluctuate literally every 10 minutes.  However,  I think it's a good idea.  I do not play GW much anymore but part of the reason is the fact of not being able to produce an income selling things because i'm shouting with 45 other people with my wares.

The idea of a bazaar could be great, provided you have to pay in order to stay there, something like 100gp for an hour.

The guild storage is a really good idea, and I will add to Secrom's idea of levels of access rights ; a system of multiple storage, let me explain : you put things only for the officers in one of the different part of the guild storage, an so on... The only problem of this system would be the fact that someone could create a guild, just to have another storage, though being alone in GW is really not funny.

A mail system, alright, but no item sending, I think it's not really important and it would amplify the lags on the servers because of the added data to the database. Moreover, getting in the same zone of someone is really not complicated, you just have to open the map, teleport to a city, or to your guild hall and give him or her the item he needs.

I do not like the "pay per hour" thing.  That's just another money sink I think.  It would also prohibit new people from opening them or people with no money as well.  In short, noone would use yet another feature implemented with good intentions.  Guild storage i'm not hot on.  What's the difference between a guild storage "data" and a delivery box "data".  Delivery box I could send to friends not in my guild.  With just Guild storage my friends would be screwed.

Also, it's not a matter of how hard it is to get to someone.  But more the fact of having to be on at the same time and if I'm in a long mission when they are on, then they have to sit and wait for me to finish.  Which is crap.

I think most people are interested in your #2 suggestion. A shared guild box would be ideal, although people WILL abuse it. In our guild chat we had several discussion about this, and all were positive. This would really add something to the game. Perhaps they will do something with it in campaign 4.

The guild bank idea would be useful, personally i dont really need the mailing system a lot, sure it would be nice though.

The only reason I'm not currently playing Guild Wars is the lack of an auction house or similar system. By the time I was 20 I had another character filled up with items that were actually decent, but I never did have the patience to wait around for hours selling it all. It was sadly a deal breaker for me, a great game otherwise.

I feel your pain man. I'm going to leave too, because there is no f**king hairdresser.

You think you have it bad?! I'm leaving! They forgot to put in concerts by popular bands that your character can go to for free . . . .

Hey! and what happened to the raining gold and exploading pigs they had before the game came out  (have to admit the level 50 wurms were funny)

Playing Guild Wars without being in a guild is okay a moment but after a moment, you feel too lonely because you don't want to play with the noobs you can so easily find in outposts and you prefer mercenaries, but as soon as you're in a guild, it's really better, even if you don't always play with them, you can trust in my experience

Perhaps I'll log on again and try to hook myself into the back of one of the various nice guilds running around.
