    I cant agree more.

You are absolutely correct about the pants and body armor looking like they are painted on.

They should look like they are worn with some thickness to the clothes and armor.

I thought that WoW character customization was very limited... till I have tried Vanguard. At first I was overjoyed with all the sliders and the possibilities seemed near endless. After making a few characters, I did realize how amazingly little effect all those options have (most noticeable being the 4 hairstyles, 2-3 of which look nearly a like depending on the race). In Wow you have a few options (too few, some customization of the body of your character would have been nice), but with those few options you can, at least in my opinion, create much more unique looking characters.

The one area where Vanguard has an upper hand over Wow (again, in my personal opinion) is the fact that you can edit the looks of your character after creation. So if you get tired of a certain hair style or mustache that did look good on a newbie character, but doesn't match your epic armor, you just go back into the editor and change it. And that is a brilliant idea.

I think Vanguard has tried to go the middle way, sliders but not with very much room for change in the sliders. I think EQ2 has the best customization so far. WoW is good but very limited. Vanguards is somewhat better than WoW, but only because the limits of the WoW sytem (too few choices). I must admit I am a little disappointed about this aspect of Vanguard.

Vanguard has a LOT more customization then WoW. Sure, there are about 4 faces per race, and 4 hairstyles, but the rest options are numerous. U can changed brows, noses, jaws, eyes,  body, hands, legs, feet... you name it. Some say, well you cant realy see those changes from a far. Are you supposed to? No. You see extreme level customization from up close, not from afar. Only by standing close to a person will u notice the difference in face. The only thing id like is more hair style, the rest is perfect as it is. I mean who would want to see giant fat people or tiny spaghetti ones running around? that would be dumb and unrealistic.

In short, from afar, you WILL be able to make out (usualy) what race that character is. From UP CLOSE, you will see individual characteristics of that person. I havent seen 2 people that look the same... unless you leave all sliders in default middle position when creating your avatar.

I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.
