i seem to remember this being discussed a long time ago, and i'm sure the answer was yes, don't quote me on it though, best download the latest version fire up offline mode and try it there.
I do remember when the game was first released that there were a few players using them according to the forums. There's been a lot of changes since then though (lol...), so I'm not sure if they still do. I'd take Del's recommendation and download the game and try them in off-line mode.
If they work, good for you. If not, I must say that 99.9% of the playerbase doesn't use them and can kill you JUST as effectively without them. Basically there's no advantage to having them in a game like WW2OL. It's a VERY lethal battlefield.
Originally posted by Stereoviewer For me, gaming is about immersion AND gameplay. I play CS, UT2003, UT2004 and Far Cry with shutterglasses, and i´m not handicapped.
Why dont you just download the game and try it offline?
Shutter glasses really aren't game specific, they are perhaps the 3d method specific (directx or opengl). My friend made a program so that shutter glasses would work with any opengl game way back in like 1993...so it is really just a driver issue..
It IS a game issue. I´ve tried up to 30 games with them. Some games work, some don´t. Nvidia are updating their stero drivers every now and then, but some games just dont´t work.
Okay, I get it, Stereo. I concur with Manohun's encouragement, however.
It's really a moot point whether glasses would be more immerssive or not in WW2OL anyways because, as you pointed out, they aren't supported at present. Still, post on the official Playnet forums and ask the Developers (known as Rats and CRS) and you might get a positive response. They communicate with their community as well as any other game I've witnessed.
You MIGHT get glasses into this game if you are strongly committed to them or lobby for their inclusion. You wouldn't be the first person to get a new feature included.

I doubt it.
Its just a guess.

Stereo,
I wasn't saying you WERE handicapped, just that there's effectively no advantage with them.

It's a driver issue AND a game graphic engine issue. Both play a part.

Shutterglasses are not about advantage, but about immersion. Advantage or not is irrelevant. Thats´my point.
I hope u will still try the game out even without the glasses.
