Best arena 5v5 combo

what do you think would be the best 5 classes together, you may include their specs also....i think priest(any spec), lock(any spec), paladin(any spec), shaman(enhancement), rogue(assas)

I might actually switch a mage in for one of those classes, but i like it because u have a priest for heals and who can also do some dmg, paladin for back up heals ,stuns and good dps, shaman for windfury which works good with everyone and they have good dps, lock because well....they are a warlock lol, and assas rogue for big burst damage.

With that team your crowd control is pretty weak. Unless your rogue gets an early sap, your only effective crowd control comes from the lock.

Just to take things to the opposite extreme, how would a team of five mages perform?

Or better still four mages and a warlock (sheep four enemies, feer whatever is being nuked).

    Like said above...

    5 Mages ...

    - sheep 4 players

    - nuke 1

    - sheep 3 players

    - nuke 1

    - etc

    else I would choose:

    5 Locks

    - 1 lock uses fear

    - nuke 1

    - 2nd lock uses fear

    - nuke 2nd player

    - etc

A team of 5 of the same classes is kind of boring... A team with 5 from all classes usually perform good, the only bad thing is they always lack something. For example 5 stunlock specced rogues would be a true killer, sap 4 kill the last by stunlock, run down and restealth, repeat, but the rogues got no healing at all and they can't nuke. I think that a team that are specialized in something, for example nuking, but they conist of a few hybrid classes, which creates a team which doesn't lack anything. Example: 1druid, 1 priest, 2 mages and one warlock. The 2 mages can sheep 1, the warlock can fear one. The druid can heal, nuke and dps. The priest can do dmg and heal. A team like this (not necessary as mine) I think would perform better then a 5class team.

FYI enhancement shaman is pretty weak pvp. Elemental shaman on the other hand is a freaking killer, but since TBC, resto is the better PvP choice.

    BM hunter

    Demo lock

    Subt rogue

    Holy paladin

    Fire mage
  • 5 feral druids.  Sneak up and all assasinate the main healer immediately then switch to a two bear tank two healer one cat DPS setup and eff them up.  Or possibly 4 feral druids one priest for dispel.

in all honesty, there isnt such a thing as the best arena team combo, whichever combo you take there is always another one that can beat it, its how you use the classes and specs, not what classes you pick out.

Not sure yet as I'm waiting to get to 70 on my feral druid and holy pally before I start any real PvP. I did try the arena before the xpac came out, and I found that hunters were tough to kill. We were doing 2v2 with my team of feral + rogue VS. hunter + mage. We lost, but it was close. Oh, enhancement shammy is a joke in PvP and PvE. I'm not sure what Blizz was thinking, but the spec is regulated OT at best. Now if you go elemental then shammys are pretty tough. Kinda hard to tank in mail armour and no shield.

    Well the best is Ofcourse:

4 Rogues and a Priest (Night elf)

The Priest does shadowmeld in the corner.

All the rogues go stealthing, and blasting damage fast.

(With 4 rogues theres not a highchance of loosing)

But incase theres a problem the priest will be there

Wtf, are you kidding me? enhancement shammies Off-tanking? haha, Shammies are either DPS or Healer, and may i tell you that enhancement shammie with 2 hander in PvP Rocks, i play as one right nowand well, let me tell you my timing with stormstrikes and normal hits, and the ocassional WFproc hits for about 5k dmg in 1 second, then another 1000 dmg with earthshock with is a killer i tell ya.

Elemental shammies are good in PvP aswell, but they are hard to master you need to use totems frequently and imo it doesnt work well in arena, 1v1 elemental is ownage, but 2v2 and up not that good.
