Hello all,

Anyone still experiencing the random kick or crash to desktop issue still? Wondering if this patch has finally fixed this annoying / deadly issue.

The latest fix should have resolved this issue

if it is still occuring it needs to be reported as /bug so the devs know people are still suffering from it

I won't get to try until I get home from work in a few hours.  However, I'll be able to tell immediately if the patch worked or at least improved the situation.  I travel a lot wheeling and dealing in diplomacy and I know exactly when and where I will crash as I cross chunks.  For example, going from Leth Nurae, through Renton's Keep, Three Rivers and up to Tursh will cause me to crash every single time as I ride into Tursh.

I'll post my findings as soon as I get a chance to try it out.

Well I was on for a while this morning and I didnt have any problems, but then again I only ever had a couple of crashes. Not sure if it was the patch or not but some of the chunk lines seemed to go a little smoother while passing through.

Thats about all I can say right now since my game time is usually at night after work. Oh and because of some of the Harvesting patches you will need to re-equip any harvesting items that were upgraded, they will be in your inventory.

Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there,
80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters.
Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior,
and he will bring the others home.

Yes, I know a few guidies and a couple of friends who have never crashed.  Originally, I thought the memory leak would crash everybody if they crossed enough chunks or just played long enough, even if it was in one area.  So maybe it is somewhat hardware dependent or at least related to settings.  I have a high-end rig, but still crash frequently.  My friend that has a low-end rig has never crashed.  Regardless, I'll find out when I get home tonight.

Still crashing  and for the same chunk crossing reasons.

I did see a post today from a CSR that there are also known issues with the 8800 series cards that are causing crashes.  This is the card I have, my non-crashing friends have different cards.  No ETA on a fix for my card.

I've crashed a handfull of times since release and thought it was my system because it's ancient.  I have a 9600xt and am running drivers that are about 2 years old .  I hope the issues get worked out because I would be non too happy if I bought a 8800 and had any problems what so ever.

Ronan, I understand you're mad but dang.  You should find the closest woman with big bossoms and ask for a hug....come to think of it I think I will to .

Just not worth my time anymore.

Just ignore Ronan, he's a troll and probably doesn't even play the game.

There are definitely issues with the 8800 series that haven't been worked out yet.  If I knock settings down to Balanced, I'm fine... it's something with the higher settings that is causing the crashes.  One guy in game said he is using modded drivers for the 8800 and hasn't crashed since he's installed them.  I don't know anything about modded drivers, so I'm not sure if I'll try that or not.  I may just run on Balanced settings until the issues have resolved.

Not fixed.  I crashed about 1 hour after going into the game tonight.
