in EVE Online

hello all, Installing Eve again to play, i played it the first month and stopped after trial period, but am itching to try it again...I installed the game, and the Eve splash screen is on my desktop, but it says cant connect to server...Does Eve shut down Nightly for maintenance?  Thanks in advance for any info image

    Yes Eve Online's Tranquility Server, shut's down for maintenance on a daily basis between 11-12:00 GMT. (This would be 6-7am EST -5:00)

    thanks for info on the servers....i figured it out, i run a D-link wireless router,and for some reason the router interferes with the Eve client seeing the Server....*shrugs*....so disconnected the router and plugged DSL modem directly into computer...and the Eve client immediately saw the Server and began patching.... image  Started playing about an hour ago

    The router has a built-in Firewall that may sometimes prevent what you were trying to do.

    Dont want to be picky... But During Daylight Saving time EDT is - 4 hours GMT.

    I think there is a way to configure your router so it works.
    Using a Netgear Wireless router myself without any problems.

    LOL yes, if DST applies to you at the time. I was speaking in general terms as stated in the login screen.
