Tonight, I am going to go kill 50+ Raptors

in World of Warcraft

But, it will not feel like I am grinding at all.

*  I will be getting Heavy Leather for a friend to use.

*  I will be getting Thick Leather for me to use.

*  I hope to get some Large Fangs to craft a nice Auction House item to sell.

*  I hope to get a nice drop or two to share / use / sell.

Oh, and along the way, I will probably level up.  But, won't be grinding in the classic EQ1 sense at all.   Won't even notice as I hunt the Raptors through the Jungle.

And after the Raptors are well thinned, I will go to a different continent for some Quests and some serious discussions with some Pirates I know on the coast.

After two years, still having a great time with World of Warcraft.  Still learning lots of stuff about the game.

So, if you have not tried it, there are lots of Trial and Buddy keys available for 14 day free tryouts.  Come have a look at what the other 8 million folks are finding of interest.

    Sounds like you'll be around in "Stranglethorn vale", the gankenest hotspot in the game so be sure to ganks some =D

    allready tried the 10-day trial, but i dont have money to buy the game, so 10 days will probably all the wow i`ll ever play :(
    did like it, just a little too expensive in my opinion... (thats a poor mans opinion)

    Yup.  :)  You are correct.  Maybe take a few shots at Tethis while I am there.

    I am Horde, but was happy to help a couple NE Mages take out the Elite Panther, and his escorts, for their quest.

    They were polite and friendly, so I helped.

    Yup.  :)  You are correct.  Maybe take a few shots at Tethis while I am there.

    I am Horde, but was happy to help a couple NE Mages take out the Elite Panther, and his escorts, for their quest.

    Sounds really boring to me.  Actually strike that.  It was really boring for me when I did that in WoW or in EQ2.  The only game that had fun crafting gathering was Auto Assault so far.



    But I am glad you are having fun.

    ... you sure the mages were NE? cuz you know after the second war(i think) that the NEs abolished magic because it had so much potential to backfire and destroy your homelands correct me if im wrong.

    Hmm - my hunter is likely to spend a little time around STV over the weekend. I'm looking forward to meeting a few Horde along the way :-)

    Probably NE priests or BE mages. I myself find it pretty hard to keep the classes apart when just watching them fast on 30-40, and I have played the game since beta.

    Nice post btw, one of the few posts that's really positive about the game. I agree with you

    Sorry, Human Mages.  My bad.  They were fully clothed and hooded and the action was fast.

    The were locking down the Panthers with Frost and then trying to do em with AoE and Bolt.  Not working that well, especially when a couple more Panthers joined the fight.   Chaos ensued.  But with sending the Piggie from one Panther to the next, was able to gather up the Agro.  Then, just burned em down in order with my Gun, starting with the Elite Boss, which was still chewing on the Mages.  :)

    So, we took on the Elite Panther, his two guard Panthers, and two Panther Adds.  Not to bad.  The Mages were very happy to finish the quest as they had already died once trying it.
