But I can best sum it up like this: If we need to GIVE you the details instead of you WANTING to take your time and slowly and methodically go over all the old posts to discover the details and all their hidden meanings, then this isn't the game for you.

    And Jester, man, have you been under some kind of rock? Please just read any of the other threads listed under the Vanguard category. Heck, they pop up all the time on the main page.

    Other then that I played in the beta and I have to say it needs some work, but in time I think its going to be pretty good.  I'll probuably start playing as soon as summer roles around.

    My opinion matters to everyone...

    LOL, anyone can ask all the questions they want, I really don't care. But all the folks who seem to enjoy the game say it requires that you be willing to dig into things for yourself, which the OP doesn't sound like he wants to do (that may simply be an unfair judgement on my part) so I think it's pretty fair to say this probably isn't the game for him.

    No offense taken my friend, even if I were still playing it. Beta was enough, and all the threads here and elsewhere have only kept me feeling that way.

    Overall it's less easy to get into for those new to MMO's, conversely it's vastly more satisfying for those bored of simplistic MMO's. For some the unpolished state of the client is a turn off, for others polish can & will be added, but challenging dynamics are either there as in VG or absent as in most other offerings.





    If you love to explore under your own steam, make choices and find things, it's great for you, if you like to be quickly moved from area to area all tailored to your level, without many choices to make, by a linear story-line you'll probably enjoy other things more.

    After everthing is said and done, i expect a lot more out of a mmorpg released in 2007.  Released admittidelly unfinished to get money to supposidely finish it, this game is imho some of the biggest crap to be release since D&DO.  Uninspired graphics that look like ass but lag out even the best of systems.  Boring stupid quest that involve no imagination or creativity, I swear...  Rehashed EQ content that just dosen't hold up that well when other games out there offer a hell of a lot more bang for there buck.  Ok please tell me its because this game is harcore... yeah hardcore crap more like it... just because you make leveling and crafting a chore, does not mean it actually makes the content rewarding or fun... no u just eliminate 3/4ths or your player base because everything is a beyond boring grind for no reward in the end... there is no reach lvl X and suddenly the game is amazing... no sorry, this game is a rotten egg out of the gate, and I really don't see it improving much.  Hey if you like it there you go.... to each after all their own... but as for me, this game is to be definitely left alone

    Jester, it is only good that you are looking forward honest evaluation about a game before purchasing. I highly recommend to read for a few pages of content here. There are many discussions where you can find what you are looking for

    Hi Jester, if you like the typical MMO gaming style and fantasy settings, quests etc... then VG is certainly worth trying. Unfortunately everyone has their own opinions, you get the flamers and the fanboys in every game, the proof is in the pudding really. I would recommend anyone to at least try the game, so far im enjoying it. Have fun :)
