Sigil's Vanguard: Saga of Heroes has released a new News Update.
Quest Experience
As many players have noticed, this morning's patch increased the amount of experience that was awarded for the completion of quests. The experience reward will likely continue to be tweaked over the course of the next few patches, but we will be sure to let everyone know of any additional changes.
Tombstone/Travel Journal Fix
The issue where players who have tombstones log out, then log back in only to find that they no longer have tombstone locations in their travel journal will be fixed with the next server restart.
Crafting Tool Fix
Many crafting tools were incorrectly flagged during the last patch. As a result, sometimes crafters would be unable to finish a recipe or work order because they were told they did not have the right tool - even if they did. This will be fixed with the next server restart.

It is good to read about another much needed fix.
I have lost a few levels of xp because of the tomb stone bug alone.
I like VG but it does make me angry that we are paying to play in the beta.
If it was not that my friends have moved to VG already, I would drop this game and wait for 6 months.
This game should not have been released in the mess it is.
I expect it is the influence of $OE.

The reason they have increased Quest Reward Exp is only because Lord of the Rings Online is having a Stress Test beta event this weekend. I’m sure after that is over Sony/Sigil will crank down the exp rewards. This is their way of trying to keep people playing Vanguard over the weekend.
which types of quests were you doing , as there are 3 trees, the crafting tree, the diplomacy tree, and the adventure xp, The reAson i ask is because i thought i was being dicked on xp when i first started whilst doing diplomacy, i thought that xp went into my adventure bar, but it indeed has its own bar on a seperate page.
playing eq2 and two worlds
I definitely saw an increase in my experience from questing. I also had the missing tool from crafting. So I do hope there has been a server reset.
I don't agree with players that VG is still in closed beta stages. I've tested approximately 8 games now and don't see the correlation. Took WoW how many months to get server stabilty after going live? DaoC had amazing server stabilty and very little content above level 20 when it went live. The original EQ was a nightmare the first week and had tons of downtime the first few months. Not even going to mention the games I didn't think were worth the 40-50 dollars to buy after testing them. VG released because they had to. There are bugs like all games going live. There are some client side issues with lag (least for me). On the plus side, the Telon world is the most amazing I've ever seen. The quest system is pretty good, the story for each race and area is excellent. The mobility I happen to enjoy as I like immersive games. It's slower paced then other games and you have a chance to see how truly amazing the world is that has been created. The dungeons are fun and large! The crafting is well thought out and again interesting to me. While I tried the Diplomacy, it's not something I like but I see people all around jabbering at NPC's so there are a lot of folks liking that aspect as well.
I don't expect to change anyone's mind on how they percieve Vangaurd, I just wanted to let people know I think it's worth the wait while Sigil works the kinks out. Meanwhile I'll be that much ahead when people who are waiting for that to happen come back....smiley has my great gear on his head!
yes it is very odd that the game was in beta for over a year and still has the same state as any other beta. My only thoughts about this was what was the beta for and what happened during it.
