People who buy gil/gold/creds for games are loser tools who obviously are playing the wrong kind of game. Does that help ya out?

Seeing as they just banned 4000+ accounts for being involved in those activities, it's probably not the safest thing.  Not to mention, sadly, doing so supports the people that over camp the NM and run fishing bots.

I can however admit I can understand the reason to buy gil.  It's not really all that easy to get and SE doesn't make it any easier.  So, if you gotta, I'd do my best to try to find a seller that doesn't engage in unfair activities to get it's supply.  Good luck on that one as I couldn't even begin to figure out if there are any that do that.  In theory, IGE states it doesn't support the unfair game play to aquire gil.  But it has no way of knowing what it's suppliers are doing.

Actually the ones that get banned as far as gill are concerned are not the buyers but the sellers.

As they state in their help pages they need a report to actually ban the buyer.

This means the even if they ban the seller's account they can't search for all the buyers that i has reached since RMT's use multiple accounts anyway to transfer gold.

As for the "advertisment" of how many accounts they ban i just think they just want to prove that they do something about it, although i doubt they will have much success.

I remember when there a big banning of accounts on such matters the very next day when i was pting at the jungles, i saw 3 parties of them levelling non stop and basically taken over all the spots there. So yes i believe that with bannings only not much success will come.

Thing is buying gill from a game point of view just inflates the in game economy and raises price to insane amounts, so really all you do i shooting yourself in the foot by buying gil since you'll need to buy even more because of the broken economy and so on.

From SE part i think that they should start consider giving low level players also some opportunities to make some cash, since it is a bit difficult for new players to get a decent amount for the basic stuff they will need. Maybe the quests can give a bit more gil or some items can be obtained this way so that the new player will have an incentive and develop a mindset to acquire items.

These are my two cents on the matter since I find it that the game without a mid to high level job to back it up is quite a chore at points.
