I think if it took place in the Greek times it would be a lot cooler, but then most people would just say "same thing".

    roman and greek mythology are very closely related, and often interchangeable.

    the era is circa 300 - 400 BC, so it is still in "Greek times"

    you never know, the greeks may be one of thre factions released in expansions...

    Roman gods and goddesses are the same as Greek gods and goddesses but different names.

    The Greek and Roman eras are way cooler for a MMO anyway. Just for the sake of change

    Im not sure which empire was bigger, but the roman empire was all around europe whereas alexanders empire was all around southeast asia and then was split up soon after, id rather walk around europe.  Greeks have better art and architecture, but Romans have more to go, plus people are more familiar with them being a big empire.  Also hopefully there will be many expansions that include Greeks and Egyptians and everything in between.

    Romes Empire was way bigger 1/4 of the worlds population lived under Roman rule.
