Have you people never played an MMO before? I mean a REAL MMO, not Diablo2 or Guild Wars...
MMORPG=Subscription fee... between 10-15 bucks a month is standard, so:

MMORPG and MMO's may or may not have monthly subscription fees depending on what game you're playing...
Subscription free is nice

I had a jorb once, but had to give it over to the proper authoritities after it bit my third nipple off... Stay away from jorbs, they really are mindless killers. Like pit bulls only less cuddly.
Honestly dude, I dunno what year you just travelled from, but people have been bitching about this since about the time it was released that in "ultima online" you had to pay to play.

Well its just that I'm bemused that its still happening at this level. I always excpet to see a few crackpots going on about it, but their must be a new crop of teenies who's parents are smart enough not to let them use their credit cards.

Think of how it might be:
Quest: Collect 10 rat tails in 20 minutes. With "Typical goverment efficiency" you actually can complete the quest with only 6 tails and can take as long as you want.
Travel: There would be public transportation however it wouldn't go directly where you want it to do. You will have to switch rides often until you get somewhere near your destination.
Dungeons: Each are lovingly hand crafted by contractors. Too bad they happened to be the lowest bidders on the project.
Free cheese.

other than that, i personally dont mind fee's. a $10 fee to me is nothing. its this $15 fee that i hate. simple 10 dollars easy. but they gatta keep uping it lol...

I don't see why we can't think outside the box and break the paradigm of monthly paid subscriptions.
The current payment plans just enable developers to release unfinished games and have people pay to beta test their game, so-to-speak.
Not only that, but it's just outrageous that we collectively shell out tons of cash and receive the same rehashed timesinks and grinds that we saw released the previous quater, and the quater before that, and the quater before that...
I may be alone, but I for one am getting seriously burned out on this crap and I really hope that a game comes out soon that actually delivers.
