My ONE "Children's Miracle Network" wish

I want to start a petition, and I want all of you to "sign" it or post a reply, please.  I would like all the game developers to know how strongly I/we feel about  being able to create UNIQUE characters with UNIQUE abilities and powers.  Now I know, of course, that it would be silly to allow a character to select abilities from an excessively wide range of skills and powers, but it WOULD be nice to allow the consumer an option of 3-4 different  spells, abilities, powers.  They could make them do the same amount of damage, etc... but at least make the effects look different.  This would help the consumer (us) feel more like the character was a real part of who we are.

The second part of this "wish" would be the customization of  our  adventuring gear, armour, weapon and/or staff/wand/sceptor.  Now before all of you tell me to go play CoH/V, I want you to know that I have and I still continue to play.  In fact, the first thing that drew me to the game, was the never ending costume customization/ randomization.  Although the story lines aren't too deep, it's an exciting game to play and another great part of the game is seeing what other people have done with their 'toon and what sort of name they came up with.

I really wish that developers would pay more attention to this aspect of online gaming.  If any of you have read some of my other posts, you may recognize my desire for being able to create a unique character.  It sometimes seems that games get more hype than they should and I don't kow how many times I've read on thebox;  "Thousands of unique characters that YOU can create and customize." only to find out that you  have around four options for each aspect of the character and then have to go buy some "Blue dye" so that instead of looking like 33,452 other people, now, you only look like 9,344 other people.

Anyway, give me some feed back!

Let's make some NOISE!!!!

Maybe someone will notice and actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

THANKS FOR READING.

My eyes bleed from this post, but mainly due to the wretched choice of color!

Red?! If I were a bull/bison you'd be dead now pal.

Just thought you'd like to know that, and yeah I'd floor your ass with my horns so fast..man you'd just die. That'd be cool <butt head laughX2>.

OH yeah, and lime green is SOOOO much better.  And besides, if you were a bull, I'd just grab my .243 and put about 13 bullet holes in you tiny little brain.

No, I don't want my massive pvp combat (or even small pvp combat) taken away because a few graphics whores want to have "customization".

    A few graphics whores?

Why GL , you're aversion to any mention of quality graphics or character customization is comical at times.

This is 2007 my brotha... cookie cutter gameplay , AND graphics = bad..  PVP, PVE, RVR or otherwise.

Developers are gonna have to offer excellent gameplay & character customization to get my money.

PS. to the OP:  While I realise  you're posts title was in jest, it's still in bad taste. CMN does a lot of good for terminally ILL children.

Ironicly, its the mmorpg's that offer little customization such as World of Warcraft, Lineage and Lineage 2 that are leading the mmorpg scene, while games that offer  tons of customization such as Everquest 2, SWG and City of Heroes are biting the dust.

it seems 2007 doesn't care about customization as much as you like to believe.

Lime green is easily easier on the eyes! Especially on black, has a geo-cities look to it if you ask me.

Stop pretending to own a [Gun].

Besides in this scenerio , you don't have a [Gun].

    Get on the ball man!

    GL you're exagerating again,

While I concede SWG is on a downward spiral, EQII and CoX are FAR from biting the dust.

Granted their not doing WOW or even L2 & GW's sales numbers, their far from dying.

Now..If you want to wager 2007's MMOs are going to offer less customization than years past I'll take that bet.

/Wink I didn't say they were dying, But both of them bite the dust compared to World of Warcraft and the Lineage series.
