Aion...

I've never really been a big fan of NCSoft, but does anyone else feel that this game (If done right/has decent advertising) can become the next WoW? So far it's looking to be very promising, and one of the few 3rd Generation MMORPGs that'll actually deliver.

I have very high hopes of Aion, and I believe it will be a very high quality game. But I don't think it will be the next WoW.

Aion will not be a game a teenager can go and play. It is to "animeish" (even though its not really enime, people think it looks like anime)

Aion will probably take most of its crowd from Lineage I and II, and will proabably be like Lineage III, then when lineage III comes out, it will be like lineage IV O.o?

so yeah lineage Levels, which is about 1/2 as much as wow, still abunch though.

Actually, I dont Aion could possible be less like Lineage, and this is the goal of NCsoft, to drive away from the Lineage concept. To give you some examples, Lineage uses point & click movement. Aion is build around WASD movement. Lineage is hardcore grinding, according to the developers, Aion is not. Lineage is free for all pvp with clan politics, Aion is Faction vs Faction vs Faction. Lineage is all about combat, with very little things like crafting, Aion will have much more of this ( I believe over 10 diffrent types of crafting-like activivies have beend mentioned so far?) and it will have a big effect on the economy.

in Lineage, only the elite will be able to fly the sky, in Aion, everyone will. Aion will also have aerial combat.

in Lineage 2, players affect the gameworld through clan politics, Aion will affect the gameworld through FvF pvp, so one server can be totally diffrent then the other. Server A could have a much more darker tone then Server B because on Server A, the Demons are performing very well, while on server B, the angels are doing very well (They are called the Chosen and the Broken in Aion though)

Aion is clearly going for a diffrent audience then the Lineage series are, so I don't think it will attract that many Lineage players.

Why Aion? All we know is it has pretty graphics and it's by NCsoft. We don't even have a release date. It's not even close to launch, how do you know it'll be even in the 3rd generation...

They're aiming for a Q4 '07 release date, and there's a lot more to it than just 'pretty graphics'. Perhaps you should read up on it a bit?

We know its comming Q4 2007. and there is actually quite a few things known about Aion, just actually very few people who took the time and look for the info.

Uhhh, perhaps there's no info on the official site? Perhaps you could state where you are pulling your info from in the first place(since it obviously isn't the offical site) so people could see your reasoning?

Poster above me already gave some sources, you can find quite a bit simply typing "Aion" in google. there is no official site yet, only a teaser site.

Aion looks great but in every game they make it look good then once u get it its not what you expected at all. Personally I think Aion will be a great game. But i doubt it'll become the next WOW.

I Guess Aion will be a great sucess ....

And about the Graphics,I bet I won't go wrong with NCSoft ....

why did i said so?

I played ExTeel,and though my pc was not able to reach the requirements, I ound the game good in almost everything,though the lag makes my pc blow to pieces,the sound eects makes my table shake .... and the effects makes my eyes hurt of so much intensity ....

to the content that aion is an ncsoft thing ....

we won't go wrong ....

and by the way, Aion was like a copy of a Movie And Daily Show here in the Philippines ....

when aion is out i predict lineage2 will be dead-er and becomes free of monthly fee.

btw... the one that has scions of fate sig.... that game sucks! i played close beta and tested lv70..... its another asians triditional grind festival and takes u every 10 lv to learn one single skill! it sure got the lo0ks but no show!
