I am pre-ordering ASAP after playing beta!

in Lord of the Rings Online

I had by doubts big time after all the sucky MMOs being released lately....DDO...Vanguard, etc.

Decided to play beta after getting an invite and damn! ...this game actually impresses me! Its WoW without the crappy cartoon art style! And I love the storyline questing! Good job Turbine! Finally you build another great game besides AC1!!!

    Yep...I have pre-ordered now as well.

    I signed up for the stress test and a day before it started I finally got an invite into closed beta. I had signed up for that way back when. After playing for a few days I was impressed with the game enough to go ahead and pre-order.

    I agree. That's one thing I didn't like about WoW was the cartoon looking characters.  This game is the first MMO in awhile that has held my interested longer than a week.

    I highly recommend it.

    that's why i canceled my preorder. not enough innovations and no solid pvp.

    I am completely on this bandwagon. The gameplay with WoW is very good and smooth, but the cartoony graphics just kill the whole deal for me. Now I have been playing the Beta Stress Test with LOTR and I like it a lot, it plays very similar as WoW but has a much cooler, less kiddie feel.

    I also find "monster play" to be quite cool...

    I didn't think this game was good.  It lacks allot... just a money making franchise that's it.  Not really anything new or worth paying for not unless your hardcore LOTR fan.

    I will be pre-ordering too. My problem is that I am in Europe and they haven't sorted out how the lifetime subscription deal is going to work yet...

    My best friend and I are doing the pre-order thing... We both enjoy the game immensely... two of my other friends who did the stress-test thing also enjoy the game... Nothing better than playing a game with your friends.

    Yep I pre ordered today as well. I wasn't too impressed at first, but as soon as I left the newbie zone i was hooked. Lots and Lots of quests and things to do.. i even had fun fooling around with the clarinet :) I cant wait to see what there is to see at lvl 30 :)

    I got my pre order at a brick and morter Best Buy but it seems to hav e really taken off in it's online sales

    not bad for a game that does not hit the shelves for another 8 weeks< I think this weekends stress test helped spread the word a lot. It went from # 5 to # 2 at Amazon

    I miss DAoC
