I really tried to get into AOC, but it just doesnt interest me at all with what it promises, and i cant see it delivering everything it promises.

AoC ...no matter how i look at warhammer it reminds me of WoW 2.....AoC has a gritty edge about it that is very appealing to me....

Anyway, I can see where you're coming from. There have been other games that have promised much but fallen short on the delivery. Fable springs to mind, and dare I say it, Vanguard.

Hmm, an impossible answer to a simple question. Base strictly on what Ive seen as of today and no on promises of the future...WAR.

Side note: If it was based on points...AoC would be trailing but a slim margin, could still take the lead for me.

A lot of people happen to agree with him in principle, although yes most would use different wording.

imo they both are very unappealing and the hype will deminish shortly after they release, Aion will destroy them both having a perfect balance of PvP and PvE and aerial combat

one thing about AoC is making me choose it: M rating. Which in a way assures the formation of a AO similar community.

on the other hand one always has questions about funcom...

I don't really understand this. Why do people always insist that the M rating will make for a more mature playerbase? Maybe I'm wrong but isn't the rating just some kind of suggestion? Is someone stopping kids from buying these games?

We have a different system here where it's actually forbidden to sell that stuff to kids, but among 12-16 year old boys an adult rating is perceived as an award. And they'll go at any length to get these games.

im leaning towards AoC. but will probably end up buying WAR because AoC looks like it will be very time consuming, and WAR seems like you can jump right into the PvP and have fun. But AoC looks amazing.

It wont stop kids. Im sorry i didnt make my point clear earlier. M rating says funcom is not trying to get numbers, they are not tyring to make a popular game but a conan game. It wont be for everyone out there. They want mature, devoted players. Just like the case in AO. AO has a filter for kids: complication. Will this one have that ? i dont know.

But with funcom there comes a time when they stop coding and start milking

Aside from that, even if these things dont happen, some kids wont be able to buy it.

The shadows in the first two might not display properly if your monitor sucks by the way , if it seems too dark try adjusting the contrast.

If you mean he posted more then two, I think he meant for the first two on that list to represent against the two warhammer images. The others I think were just there because they're pretty good images, why not?

Going to get AoC right away. I've heard enough and have my mind made up already...

WAR on the other hand has given me reasons to be skepical which is why I won't get it right away but I will keep an eye on it and read up on reviews and comments before I decide if I'll play it.

I cant really knock you guys because as AOC FANBOI'ISH as you all are, this is the AOC forums and Im the same way about WAR.

I like the screenshots of AOC but I dont like the gameplay video that Ive seen released.

And I think it a bit funny for anyone on this forum to have the balls to knock WAR when its further from release than AOC and yet its good enough that Mythic is putting WAR in front of every media outlet and everyone is eating it up. Where is that GREAT AOC video that should be competing with WAR?

I am a huge mythic fan. I loved daoc and I loved the RvR.
There is no way that I could ignore WAR.

I think i will be getting AoC...simple because i don't like cartoony art style......that pvp video reminded me of nintendo 64 super mario......I'll be looking at Aion too...can't underestimate that game...check out the pvp video for it here..
