outfitter troubles? halfling help needed!

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
   ive decided to make a sole crafter character and ive chosen a halfling, and id like to make leathers and such, so i chose outfitting. ive done the tutorial and everything b4...im now a level 4 crafter and all ive been able to do is make work orders...the outfitter trainer in rindol field doesnt have any recipes to teach me. am i doing something wrong? or do i have to do these work orders forever b4 getting any recipes to make actual tangible goods? im asking here cuz no 1 in game would respond to me question:(

    You finished the complete tutorial quest ? Does the trainer have red recipes in his list ? I guess he has quite some red ones . The main thing to level up and build skills are workorders. They are also a nice way to make money. Its a bit more complex, but you will learn fast which workorder to do for what purpose.



    If your trainer has red recipes i suggest you do workorders until the first recipes go white and you can learn them. If he has no recipes at all you have to check if your tutorial is done completely. I never was in Rindol, is this the starter city for halflings ? If not, you probably have no faction with Rindel.



    However, be prepared to gain levels, skills and money by doing workorders. And also be aware that you need to be ahead of your adventurer level if you plan to craft your own armours. A good page is http://www.vanguardcrafters.com/forums/



    The crafter community seems to be a bit silent on some servers. Everyone seems to keep his knowledge and wants to be on top to sell a lot of stuff and get rich. Have patience.. its a nice system in vanguard.

    it turns out the outfitter trainer in rindol field is bugged....moving on tho...what animals around rindol field drop animal skin for leather working? i figured foxes and wolves would but not even they are skinnable to me...any help please would be appreciated

    nearly any animal can be skinned, provided you have the skill  named, you guess, skinning

    Same again. Do the tutorial quest at your harvesting trianer. Choose your 1st and 2nd profession and thern go for it. You also need to have a skinning knife and a reaping sichel (if you also do reaping). Thats all. Once a corpes is skinable you cursor turns into a tool when mouse-over.

    The animals have to be over level 6 to be skinnable. Level 6 cats around Martok are not skinnable, but the Level 8+ ones are. Haven't found a level 7, so it may be lvl 8 and up are skinnable.
