Yes...yes... Yet another poll..    but I was bored....  

Which of the below listed MMORPGs in your OPINION will out last all others? 

Please don't flame too hard...

    well since some of those games have been around since the dawn of MMOs and some haven't even been released i can't say. What i think is now that EVERYBODY is getting into these games whatever game the casual players are playing is gonna last the longest. The reason i say this is i believe that there are many more casual players then any other category of players.

    Good point!  Do any of you think "Financial Backing" would play a significant role in longevity?  Take SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) for example. MMORPGs that have that sort of financial backing will most likely be around for the "long haul" as compared to "Dark and Light" (s) financial backing...

    If you ask about outlasting, my bet went to Star Trek, there is a hardcore fan base that will probably continue to play till there is another Star Trek product available :)

    Subscribtions: EVE, SWTOR WOW, WAR, DDO, VG, AOC, COV, FFXI, GW, RFO, Aion
    +plenty of F2P, betas, trials

    Female Dwarf player: WOW, VG, WAR, DDO

    Well it doesn't work very well to even guess at how long games will last that haven't even released yet.  It would be a better poll if it were just already released games :)

    I voted Ultima Online. It will have its longest life of all i think. I mean the game is allready allmost 10 years old and still everyone's talking about it, i think WoW will do very well as well, but it will have a steady decay in subscribers within a year or 2. I think it will not live passed it's 10th anneversary. (By then, World of Starcraft/Diable/Warcraft 2)

       UO hands down, I'm still playing after 10 years. No game can compare, let me know when another game hits the 10 year mark and still has such an avid fan base.

    I agree..    I was there from the beginning to 7 years... UO in my opinion brought what you see today in current MMORPG as far as mechanics...  Personal Homes, Personal Venders, Crafting, Skill System....ect..ect... the list goes on. Unfortunately, I quit after 7 yrs.. now I wish I had my old account...

    Trust me, you can have fun in UO now, but it's not what it used to be. And do you know any game except maybe SWG that has the same kind of housing UO has, vendors UO has and skill system ?Because quite honestly, it seems to me that allthough UO gave us a GREAT example, all the company's went after EQ's overall "game system".
