pre-order gets me into beta?

in Lord of the Rings Online
I can preorder from walmart right now since I have a gift card, but it says nothing about beta access on their site. How would I be able to join the beta before release?

    According to the offical web site. Walmart will not be getting the Beta invites in.

    check here http://lotro.turbine.com/preorder  now I do know my local Gamestop got in

    boxed copies of the beta even though the web site clams otherwise.

    Gamestop does indeed get them in. I got my 3 copies, well my 2 and my wife's 1, at my local Gamestop.

    Pre-ordering gets you into Open Beta a week early but doesn't get you into Closed Beta.



    If you want to get into Closed Beta then buy Computer Games Magazine
