I was wondering if anyone knows some people who play on the classic servers and do some powerleveling groups? I am interested in playing in the RvR aspect, but unfortantely I don't have my old accounts anymore. So I was going to pick up the game and play, but I don't really want to do level 1-50 again so I can do some RVR.
Thanks,
Currently playing:
LOTRO & WoW (not much WoW though because Mines of Moria rocks!!!!)
Looking Foward too:
Bioware games (Dragon Age & Star Wars The Old Republic)

I don't, but I would suggest creating a toon on one of the servers in a realm you really want to play in and then ask for groups in the newbie guild. Also, flag yourself LFG under the group menu and try and group with others that are leveling in the BG's zones as you level up. BG's and RvR zones are double normal XP, so most people are grouping up and killing in there as they level. BG's are more active than normal in usual unactive BG's. Grouping with others outside of the newbie guild that are in another guild is the best way to find a guild that might PL you.

I don't know what you picture when you hear RvR but sieges, trebuchets, rams, large battles... that shit doesn't happen anymore. No reward for the time it takes to take a keep and nobody wants to deal with animist and their turret spam.
If you really are dumb enough to come back now, put a lot time into researching a class to roll, or you'll end up with a char like mine that spams lfg for hours because nobody has any use for my char. And don't roll on midgard, unless you like being outnumbered by hibs 4 to 1 (literally)
I just went back and read some of your past posts. Every one of them was negative so far and I just read the last 5 posts made by you. I'm sorry that you've had a bad experience in DAoC, but I have played on and off for 4+ years and have had different experiences than you. Perhaps it's the way you approach the game? Maybe you aren't a sociable type of person. Perhaps you haven't built yourself a reputation while leveling up of knowing how to play your class. It pays to group up with people on the way up. You can't expect people to include you just because it's a game. Things work a little like real life. The sociable people with a good group of people backing them, or with a good reputation for knowing their job get invited for the harder tasks.
I'm not saying that I've always found it easy to find a group, but I can say that I've been grouped most of the time from 1-50 on every character I've rolled and I've rolled more characters than I can count. I also join guilds and PvP with them. It pays to research the guild you join and to make sure that they are like minded people and are active in every aspect of the game you find important. This is what I do, and I never have trouble finding a group in RvR and I am the type that rolls odd ball specs...like Mana Eldritches or Avalonian Clerics (My latest two).

Why don't you just leave these boards if you have nothing good to say about DAoC? Some of us are trying to keep this game alive by bringing new ppl in, and All you do is moaning about there is no action in RvR ect. You simply CAN'T bee playing this game atm, since where I am playing there are plenty of action in rvr AND pve.
AS for Animist they are getting the nerfbat very soon! (don't you read patchnotes?)
So do us a real favour and tone down your opinion or leave this board.
Most of the negaive stuff the guy wrote was basically right on the mark.Sorry to say it.

Don't count on being able to be pl'd to 50 for free. There are a lot of people that do this for plats and most guilds, like the ones I have joined on classic, do a lot of guild groups with various levels, yet will /gc remove someone just for asking for a pl. To most people, if you can't be bothered to work for that 50 toon, you don't deserve the benefits of having one. If you really want to play and you seriously can't be bothered to level your toon, buy an account. But I got to warn you, people have no tolerance for players that have level 50 toons yet have no idea how to play them. The first time you join a group and ask questions that show you have no idea what you're doing, you can count on that group never inviting you back. People expect to have people that need teaching at lower levels, but in NF, there's no time for it. People play to win and teaching a new player while running an 8-man is not something many are willing to do. Not saying you can't buy an account and find fun, but the leveling process, from 1-50 is where you are supposed to master your class, not on INC while wasting the rest of your groups time.

You know it's funny. I'm a returning vet, haven't played in over a year but in the three days I have been back, I have gotten no less than 5 tells each time for "Wanna RvR? We need a pally". I'd have to agree that RvR is not dead. It may have toned down some as people have left the game but judging by the tells I get out of the blue, it certainly seems to be alive and kicking.
I have turned them down so far because I really need to relearn my playstyle with my characters first but man do I miss beating on Hibs n Mids =(
