Are the servers/website down?

Can't even check if the servers are up since 4 hours now.

Just wondering what is wrong.  I did cancel my sub, but I am still wanting to play...and maybe resub...maybe not...we will see.

Well, the NA website seems down to me.

I can enter the EU website, but...not the NA.

Everything appears to be up according to cityofheroes.com -- boards appears like they've been working just fine without interruption...

Still unable to go to the official NA website.  Cityofheroes.com can't load.

The patcher, although working, show a unable to load white page instead of the usual advertising, or the servers, news or whatever.  If I try to loging, I read that the login server must be down or to go to cityofheroes.com/...which doesn't work unless I put a fr.cityofheroes or eu.cityofheroes before, which is silly since I am NA!

I just logged into the Plaync.com website since another guy in the CoH forum said he couldn't re-up. No problems for me. I also just loaded both the coh.com and cov.com websites with no issues. Everything is running fine for me here.

Have you run any anti-spyware checks to see if you have spyware? Viruses?

OP: where are you at? I'm in southern CA and having no luck at all getting on Plaync, coh or cov sites. It does seem to be locational.

I live a little north of NYC, in Canada, a city named Quebec, and I am still unable to play or access their website.

Someone from Australia seems unable as well.

Maybe it has something to do with a provider type?  I am with Videotron, a cable provider.

With that sentence, I could have swear you where working for Cryptic; it is always client-side for them.

I've had some clients recently display similar results and it was a specific spyware app that once removed, the computer went back to functioning perfectly.

Do you recall what specifically it was spyware from or the name of it to look it up in the registry? It just seems very weird that people from around the world at random are not able to JUSt log in there. The COH website now has a posted notice about it, so they do know the problem.

I am able to play since yesterday evening...all of a sudden.

I am happy to be able to play...but as clueless as I could be.  Yet, been clueless is irrelevant if I can play.

Fortunately it looks as though they found the problem through the internet pipeline. Apparently this was a problem that's happened with the routing company before, people on the tech forum were kind of 'aha! see!' to it. Time someone cracked down on that company :)

    Everything's good now!
